The seat inventory control and unconstrained demand estimate in airline revenue management are studied in this dissertation. Seat inventory control holds core status in airline revenue management. But method of optimal seat inventory control is different from each other under different situation, which is discussed in each chapter in detail.The problem of unconstrained demand estimate comes from that booking data cannot show real demand after seat inventory control is used. So unconstrained demand estimate relates closely to seat inventory control. In order to ensure demand data veracity, it is necessary to restore booking data to demand data. The main contents of the dissertation are as follows:As to multi-airlines & multi-sub-class seat inventory, the stochastic mathematic model about double airline companies and sub-class is set up based on game theory under circumstance of competition and optimal result on double sub-class seat inventory is get and all factors which affect it are analyzed in detail.As to seat inventory control about multi-leg flight, the stochastic programming model is set up and solution is given out by genetic algorithm.As to seat inventory control about transfer-flight, a mathematic model base on seat expectation value is set up. By example analysis, method about nested seat inventory control of single transfer-flight and associate transfer-flight are discussed in detail.As to seat inventory control or quantity control base on active management of demand was set up, which include three new marketing tools, namely callable ticket ,uncertain time ticket and waiting list. Feasibility of callable ticket is analyzed in detail and method of seat inventory control about callable ticket is set up under circumstance of no overbooking. Allocation of seat inventory in multi-flight on same day is set up. Static control method of waiting list about single flight is studied.As to seat inventory control under circumstance of overbooking, a new integrated method is given, based on Markov decision and queuing theory.As to seat inventory control of group passenger, a static integrated control method combined quantity of all group passengers and size of single group passenger is set up, and a branch and bound algorithm is also given.As seat inventory base on passage choice, the discrete dynamic programmingmodel about single airline company with multi-class is set up, and a few of result without regard to passenger choice are amended. A method about opening sets of sub-class with regard to passenger choice is given. As to unconstrained demand estimate for civil aviation market in China, a new method of estimation is set up, which base on booking process. A mathematic model is put forth base on Poisson stochastic process and a effective algorithm is designed to calculate optimal estimation value.The main contents of the dissertation aim at specialty of aviation market in China, and strive to tackle some problems of revenue managemen airlines facing with. The solutions of those pay attention to not only correctness but also simplification. So they have good value for airlines in practice. A few of novelties in airline revenue management are also studied and production from them is replenished blank or enriched. Those novelties have great economic and societal value as view of research conclusion.
