Study On Technique Of Product Data Management (PDM) In Furniture Enterprises

This report studies the technique of PDM implemented and applied in a office furniture enterprise, analyses and discusses perplexing problem about the product basic data management of the furniture enterprise with an example of panel-type office furniture, expects to bring positive value for office furniture enterprises even the whole furniture manufacturing industry on informationization, also hopes to offer reference to some works such as product design and production management, etc.Main contents and results of this study are as follows:①Based on current problems and difficulties of Chinese furniture enterprises,it is proposed that an in-depth application of computer technique should strengthen from data source of product design, that will be more advantageous to succeed in implementing PDM and realize information integration and share for different software systems as early as possible, to improve competition ability and informationization degree of furniture enterprises indeed.②Methodology of implementing the technique of PDM and Method of applying and developing PDM system in furniture enterprises are studied. Moreover, making an example as typical board structure products, the research analyses E-R diagram of furniture PDM and optimizes its data models. Furthermore, it dedicates to study logic organization mode of furniture product data management with the center of product structure, and provides theoretical basis of relational algebra for the design and development of the database of furniture PDM system.③Using of the advantage of the mode of B/S framework, the furniture PDM system V1.0 is developed. In course of development it is studied that how to reduce unnecessary redundancy information availably for the database structure, and all programs are tested to realize each operation function of the system, which makes the system practically, efficiently, simply and safely.④It is researched that strength the integration and sharing between different software systems and the method to eliminate "isolated island of information". Developing the data input interface from CAD to the furniture PDM system, which realizing that products information and parts data can be putted into database automatically, and can bulid product structure tree automatically.⑤Based on classification coding method, combining with elementary coding way of flexibility, matrix and so on, coding rules for blue print files of panel-type furniture product, parts and products are respectively worked out. In the meantime, it is mentioned that a method named three dimensions two codes is workable and practical when it is used suitably.
