Research On The Development Of Company Intellectual Capital From The Strategy Perspective

The 21st century is the era of knowledge economy, in this historical period, intellectual capital development has become a hot issue business. On the base of referencing and analysing the field of intellectual capital theory at home and abroad, the paper makes the theme of company intellectual capital development of systematic theory exploration and research. In the course of studying, the paper uses the theoretical and empirical method to obtain the following results:Firstly, defines the meaning and features of intellectual capital. This article hold the opinion that intellectual capital is owned or controlled by a company, in the direction of company's vision-guided, it is the knowledge that can be embedded in the company's operations to gain its competitive advantage. The nature of intellectual capital is the ability to create and extract value and gain competitive advantages. To summarize the VEBRIC features of the intellectual capital, namely they are Value (V), Equity (E), Barriers (B), Rare (R), Increasing returns (I) and Complementary(C). We regard these characteristics as a starting point of strategic perspective for the company's intellectual capital development theory and empirical research.Secondly, the proposed "one basic principle, two development path" of the intellectual capital development framework, that is vision-oriented principles of intellectual capital development, at the same time, grasping two basic paths, namely the flow of development and the stock of the development.Thirdly, point out that vision being of the company's guiding role of intellectual capital development is mainly reflected in two aspects:on the one hand, vision is by defining the company's business scope to regulate the company's intellectual capital development direction and scope; on the other hand, vision makes company intellectual capital strategy to be based on developping the ambitious goals, it is a strategic intellectual capital development activities expected to achieve key results commitments.Fourthly, for the path of the intellectual capital development of the stock, from a new perspective to build intellectual capital identification and recognition, intellectual capital measurement and intellectual capital reporting, including three parts of the development system. Company's intellectual capital identification and recognition, intellectual capital measurement needs to make professional judgments, it makes the guide role in the development process in the entire stock of intellectual capital development; intellectual capital reports are required to set targets and decomposition. Specifically, the stock of intellectual capital development indicators should be the focus of the content and integrity, and the related measure of the clarity and specificity.Fifthly, for the path of the intellectual capital development of the flow, building intellectual capital investment, intellectual capital innovation and company's organizational structure design of intellectual capital development in three aspects. In the intellectual capital investment, be aimed at investment in human capital, structural capital and relational capital. The paper puts forward their own solutions as well as intellectual capital portfolio contents and methods. Demonstrated that knowledge acquisition and sharing is the greenhouse of intellectual capital innovaton, it makes the company's knowledge and creativity be able to support and development; knowledge creation is the engine, it allows the company to be a source of continuing the momentum of development, this paper also presents SEVC model of knowledge creation; intellectual capital accumulation and the value of intellectual capital to achieve is a cornerstone which ultimately nurtured the company's core competencies, and enable the company to continue to maintain competitive advantage. On the development of intellectual capital in the company's organizational structure design, the paper believes that "hypertext" organization is able to promote interactive between internal staff and external environment, the continuing knowledge of interaction, and constantly enhance the company's own intellectual capital.Sixthly, through collecting the 2006-2008 stock market of Shanghai and Shenzhen from China Securities 300 Index listed company panel data, using descriptive statistics, correlation test and fixed effects regression method was actually tested, draw a conclusion:our present various industries in general, effect on the profitability of physical capital to the company plays a major role, followed by structural capital and relational capital, once again is the human capital. Finally, the conclusion of the cluster analysis shows that physical capital and intellectual capital, have different specific impact in the different sectors.
