The rapid development of circular economy after the industrial revolution has in-depth economic, historic and social reasons. The deep-rooted ecological problems accompanying the fast-growing global economy such as environmental pollution, limited resources, ecological destruction, food shortage, greenhouse effect and reduction of biological species have been deteriorating since the 1950s. Obviously, due to over-exploitation of essential resources such as fossil fuels, minerals and forests by developed countries for economic development in the industrialization process, the traditional modes of industrial development can no longer meet the development needs. The international community has reached a consensus in the 21st century that circular economy is one of the feasible modes for the sustainable development of the population, economy and environment. The developing countries with 85% of the world's population must transform the high-carbon economic development mode for their own survival, sustainable development and improvement of people's livelihood. The paper discusses the modes of scientific development of circular economy through interface analysis from a wide perspective. In the definition of the ecological, economic and industrial dimensions and dimensions of eco-economies with virtuous development cycle for the purpose of interface integration, normative and positive analysis, qualitative and quantitative analysis were conducted in combination with holism, organization theory and ecosystem approaches, during which, the main theories of eco-economics are emphasized.Although developed countries realized industrialization in the early 1900s and 1950s, and China started eco-economic research in the 1980s as well, the theories of circular economy are generally unknown. This paper tries to explore multidimensional complex eco-economic theories for the development of circular economy from the following points of view:First, natural ecological circulation is the foundation of economic development at various stages of social and economic development. The circular economy should be integrated in the natural ecological circulation system, and take the place of any other economic mode. This is the inevitable course of development of scientific theories. Second, the social and economic development of the humankind experienced a number of periods ranging from hunting and gathering economy to agricultural economy, natural economy, industrial economy and intellectual and information economy. These economic patterns were closely related to natural ecological circulation, i.e. multidimensional evolution. Third, traditional industrialization has accumulated huge material wealth for humankind, but the discharge of industrial wastes and overuse of energy have gone beyond the ecological capacities, damaged the material circulation chain, and destroyed the biosphere on which survival and development of humankind is based. Fourth, development of circular economy is a feasible approach to the formation of an industrial network with virtuous cycle. This includes reforming the existing simple, linear and non-circular process;constructing wastes recycling and harmless treatment facilities; developing energy-saving, low-emission technologies, utilizing biomass energy sources, developing low-carbon and forest economy to form a green industrial network. Fifth, introducing successful cases from abroad and establishing sound mechanisms and regulations to solve the restraints from population, resources and environment and form a circular economy development pattern with Chinese characteristics. To set up a circular economy guarantee system is also a key point in the paper. It includes establishment of ecological ethics and moral education systems by the government, consolidation of the legal basis, formulation of national and regional circular economy development schemes and plans, and reform of the financial and supporting mechanisms.
