Analysis On The Migrant Workers' Citizenry In The Process Of Urbanization In Central China

After the reform and opening-up in China, migrant workers become a specially social groups under the background of urban-rural dual economic structure.Institutional transformation and social transformation has brought the institution space and employment space for population movement. With the industrialization, urbanization and modernization continuing to advance, migrant workers make great contributions to the development of cities and industries.Non-ruralization of migrant workers is the premise of urbaniztion, but the non-ruralization is not the same as urbanization under the unique system of dual economic structure in China.Differences in the characteristics of the household registration system seems as a form of manifestations, but, more importantly, it is a kind of "community shielding" system, namely that, basically, migrant workers can not enjoy the same benefits that the pepole of urban registered residence enjoyed.The issue of migrant workers is one of the improtant problem of the economic and social.If it not be handled properly, which will have a nagtive effect on the development of the Chinese urbanization.The best solution to solve it lines in migrant workers' citizenry, which is in favor of making the farmer-work not only "get-into", but better"retain".Under the guidance of systems science, rural sociology, urban sociology, demography, management science, economics, statistics and other related theories, in this dissertation, the issues of migrant-workers' citizenry, especially the cost problem of migrant-workers' citizenry are analyzed.The first chapter of the dissertation introduced research objectives, research ideas, research methods and technical routes.The second chapter of the dissertation described relevant theory of migrant-workers'citizenry at home and abroad.The third chapter of the dissertation studied the necessity and importance of migrant-workers'citizenry and its social and economic significance.The fourth chapter of the dissertation analyzed the basic status of migrant-workers' employment in city and influencing factors of migrant-workers' citizenry wishes.The fifth chapter of the dissertation, at the first, empirically studied micro-factors of migrant-worker's wage, then demonstrated the cost and the revenue of migrant-workers' citizenry.The sixth chapter of the dissertation, set up the SD modle of social economic system structure of migrant-workers' citizenry, and simulated the development trends and policy control of migrant-workers'citizenry. The seventh chapter of the dissertation expressed the study conclusions and outlook.The main research achievenments are as follows:1. Empirical analysis on the migrant-workers' contribution to economic growth of Jiangxi Province and their shares based on econometric model. The dissertation proposed that the migrant-workers'contribution to economic growth of Jiangxi Province are composed of two parts:the labors' of migrant workers contribution share to economic growth and re-allocation of labor transfer structure effect.According to the calculation of the econometric model, it is easily to calculate the migrant workers's contribution rate to Jiarigxi economic growth is 15.89% since 1993, even it is more than 20% during 2005-2008. It is more unfair when compared their shares with contributions.2.Analysis on dynamic mechanism of micro-influencing factors of migrant-workers'citizenry based on crosstabulation and chi-square test.In the dissertation, all kinds of micro-factors are analyzed that affects migrant-workers' citizenry based on crosstabulation model and chi-square test.From the conclusion of the study, the migrant-workers of cainozoic era have the stronger need about citizenry,which are the main force that keen on realizing the citizenry. Human capital, income, marriage become the main influencing factors that affects migrant-workers'citizenry,and so on.3.Analysis on micro influencing factors of migrant-workers income based on multiple linear regression model and multinomial logistic regression model.From the system study, can clearly find that sex, age, marital status, education level and skills, industry category, occupation type, mobility frequency and the signed contract affect the wage obviously.Only from the age, the young migrant-workers earned the hightst wage, especially at age 25-29. Overall, due to the bottleneck of sustainable income and high-cost urban life, which is the double bound, so it is very difficult to meet their demands of urbanization.4.To build up the total public costs-and-expense model of migrant-workers and calculate public cost and expense with Jiangxi statistical data.The total cost of migrant-workers' citizenry mainly includes public infrastructure cost, old-age security cost, medical insurance cost, unemployment insurance cost, cost of difference education between urban and rural, and public administration costs.The public cost of migrant-workers' citizenry are mainly focus on urban public infrastructure costs, old-age security cost and public administration costs, then calculated them with the example of jiangxi province.5.To bulid up the econometric model based on cointegration theory, then on the basis of it, calculated migrant-workers' citizenry contributions to economic growth.To prove the long-term and balancing positive relationship between migrant-workers' citizenry and economic growth based on E-G two step approach that proposed by Engle and Granger.The migrant-workers' citizenry contributions to the growth of GDP per capita is 2.32%.According to the GDP per capita 14781 yuan in 2008 in Jiangxi provice, it is easily to calculate that migrant-workers'citizenry increase 1%, then the GDP per capita increase 343 yuan. 6. Analysis on cost-sharing mechanisms of migrant-workers' citizenry and countermeasures of system innovation.Central government, local governments and enterprises share the public cost. The payment of government is nominal, in fact, the funds maily come from profits that created by migrant-workers, taxes and revenue of land transfer.Obviously, which indirectly paid by migrant-workers.If cope with the public cost migrant-workers' citizenry very well, then can decrease personal cost of citizenry effectively. In the field of system innovation of migrant-workers'citizenry, it is very improtant to promote urban household registration system reform, establish the equal employment, education, medical care service system, etc, and create a harmonious system environment that pave the way for making migrant-workers become permanent urban industrial workers and citizens.7. To set up the SD modle of social economic system structure of migrant-workers'citizenry and simulate it.Integrate econometrics with system dynamics effectively, the relevant variable equations are set up.Compared the simulation result with actual value, we can find that the models have high accuracy, and the countermeasures based on the simulation are proposed.
