Based on the different tectonic backgrounds of study area, this thesis summarizes thecharacteristics of geophysical field and infrastructure, main coal-controlled faults, tectonicevolution, analyzes the coal prototype basin and coal occurrence characteristic, the author dividesthe three-level system of coal occurrence tectonic unit. South China can be divided into one coaloccurrence district, two coal occurrence sub-district and19coal occurrence tectonic unit. Thecoalfield structure characteristics of19coal occurrence tectonic unit were summarized. Based onthe analysis of structural framework and coal-control structural features of South China coaloccurrence district, the coal-controlled structural styles were classified into6groups includingextension group, compression group, shear group, inverted structure group, gliding group andsedimentary tectonics group, and40types. The coal-controlled structural styles of South Chinacoal occurrence district and its regularities of distribution were summarized, which ischaracterized by fold pattern, thrust pattern, gravitational sliding pattern, sliding-thrust pattern,extensional structure pattern and strike-slip pattern. According to the dynamic mechanism andregularities of distribution, this thesis suggested the models of ejective and trough-like folds, thrust,decollement structure. In accordance with deformation of coal-measures, this thesis divides theSouth China coal occurrence district into four zones: Sichuan basin-mountain coupling tectonicdeformation zone, Xuefengshan intracontinental composite tectonic deformation zone, SoutheastChina thrust-decollement tectonic deformation zone and Sihuan-Yunan strike-slip tectonicdeformation zone. Finally this thesis summarized the main control factors of coal measures deformation in both sides of Xuefengshan domain, which concludes geodynamic and tectonicevolution environment, multilevel detachment layers, llthologic asociation within coal-measureand adjacent strata series, deep structure and basement property.
