On the condition of thick coal seam mining under confined aquifers and surfacewater in Nalinhe NO.2coal mine, the paper analyses the mining and geologyconditions, and then it confirms the main controlling factors of the damage height ofsuperincumbent strata by using grey relevance theory and gets damage heightcalculation formulas of different mining methods to thick coal seam and thesuitabilities are explicit. This paper simulates damage heights influence law under theconditions of different Angles and different slips and different development directionsand predicts conducting situation of3-1coal seam of Nalinhe NO.2coal mine.Usingthe "water-richness index method" to determine the influence of the main controllingfactors of the aquifer water-abundance, using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) toget all kinds of factors influence weights, and then gets water-abundance features ofaquifers.Using the water-resisting property research conclusions to evaluate the coalstrata target rock section water resisting properties.Finally, connectedness ofmining-induced fractures,water-abundance of double-types waters and water resistingproperties of water-resisting layer are analyzed comprehensively. And the paper givesevaluation result of mining safety.
