With the growing concern for the environment and the damage induced by mining underbuildings, railways and water bodies. It’s difficult to meet the production requirement by using lowextraction percentage mining method or mining at high expense. Mining co-ordinately mixed withbackfill mining and setting pillars is a newly proposed mining method which is based on the theoryof supper subcritical sufficient. It can improve extraction percentage and effectively control surfacemovement. This paper is based on field observation of surface movements; combine with the methodof similar model test, numerical simulation and theoretical analysis conducted relative researches. Itreveals the mechanism of coal pillars and backfill joint support system control the strata movementwith mining co-ordinately mixed with backfill mining and setting pillars. Analysis the surfacemovement rules with different backfill style. And propose the surface movement prediction methodof mining co-ordinately mixed with backfill mining and setting pillars. At the same time, give thesize calculation method of the extracting panel, backfilling panel and coal pillar. Finally, using thetechnology designed the coal extraction scheme at the villages of the first mining district of a coalmine at Shandong province, and carried out on-site mining trial.
