The industry of polyolefin has been renovating. The driving force behind that are the development of technology and the corresponding result in improved product quality and widen application scope, which lifting the value of products. Ziegler-Natta catalysts have dominated in the polyolefin market for more than40years. Although new members such as metallocene, facing novel compete Ziegler-Natta catalysts don’t quit the market, on the contrary, they received their rebirth in market though applying their new advanced catalyst system. These new Ziegler-Natta catalyst system are full of enormous potentiality.Carrier technology is the core of catalyst technology, for that the structure and morphology of supports directly decide the performance of catalysts. Moreover, the exploitation and application of donor in polypropylene catalyst system are also critical, which is one of focus research fields. This work creatively introduces some macromolecular compounds with special functional groups into the carrier. Three novel composite carriers were obtained. The supported catalysts were analyzed and their performance in propylene polymerization was evaluated. The results showed that the introduced materials not only impact the catalytic activity but also owned the ability to control the Ⅱ and MWD the obtained PP products. These discoveries have wide prospect in the application in olefin industry and are helpful in the theory exploitation into Ziegler-Natta catalyst system which is still not fully understand now. This work also synthesized some novel compounds with the functional groups of ether and ester. They were applied in the propylene catalyst preparation and the polymerization performance of the resulted novel catalysts was exploited. The functional mechanism of these novel compounds in the propylene polymerization was explained primarily. The results indicated that the novel catalysts have good activity in propylene polymerization and the obtained polypropylene have wide molecular weight distribution.
