Coordination polymers, as a novel functional material, arouse extensive attention due to their potential application in the gas storage, catalysis, selectivity gas adsorption and separation. We choose2,5-furandicarboxylic acid (H2FDA) as the primary ligand to build new materials.53complexes have been synthesized under the solvo/hydrothermal conditions and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR, EA and powder X-ray diffraction. The structures and topologies of these complexes have been analyzed in detail. In addition, the fluorescent property, adsorption, photocatalytic activity, chirality and TG of some complexes have also been investigated. The main contents of this work are summarized as below:In chapter1, a brief introduction of the research background of coordination polymers and the current study of H2FDA. Based on the aforementioned review, the fundamental and the progress of this thesis have been introduced.In chapter2, we selected some auxiliary ligands with different size and shapes,20complexes have been synthesized and structurally characterized based on transition metals with H2FDA. The structural difference of these complexes can be caused by different auxiliary ligands and different metal ions. Complex19represents the first example of using the unsaturated coordination sites to construct crystalline capsules. And it proved that the porous coordination polymers could be used as a new generation of capsule materials. Complex20exhibits the photochromic properties due to the generation of the stable free radical.In chapter3, four series of25complexes have been synthesized by the introduction of lanthanide ions based on H2FDA. Through the analysis of the structure of series I and series II, the reaction temperature can influence structures of these complexes. And the effect of lanthanide contraction can also make different structure according to the series III and series IV. The photoluminescent of these complexes indicated that the Eu3+and Tb3+luminescence can be efficiently sensitized by the FDA2’ligand. Complex41is sensitive to small molecules. In chapter4,8complexes have been synthesized based on alkaline-earth metals or UO22+with H2FDA. Through the varying the radius of alkaline-earth metal ions, the final structure was changed. By adjusting the auxiliary cation ions, we obtained two cases of chiral uranyl orgnic complexes. And one of them was resolution which is the first example of chiral uranyl organic complex being resolution in the literature. Photocatalytic experiment showed that complex52can effective degradation of methyl orange under UV light irradiation.In chapter5, a summary on this work is list.
