Road construction plays a significant impact role in many fields, like promotingthe development of national economy, the exploitation of land and resources, therational distribution of productivity, the cooperation between regions, the improvementof investment environment, the travel consumer, and the living standards improvement.Process optimization in road design is an effective way to improve design efficiency andshorten the design cycle for road exploration design enterprises. Base on thedeficiencies of the current research in this filed, this paper studied the theoreticalframework of optimization for road design process and key technologies of road designprocess systematically. Main contents on the paper were summarized as follows:①To the problems existed in the road design process, this paper put forward atheoretical framework of optimization for road design process. Under this framework,this paper established a human-centered road design process model which is composedof two parts, agent model and design environment model. First of all, based on theprocess model, the paper proposed the target of process optimization, and analyzed themain influence factors of design process. Secondly, the paper discussed themethodologies of process optimization, including the basic principles of processoptimization of road design, benchmarking method for process diagnosis, and the ESIAmethod for process improvement. Finally, the paper presented three key technologies, etal. process optimal scheduling, process optimization simulation, and networked projectmanagement.②Aiming at the static scheduling problem, a multi-mode resource constrainedscheduling model was formulated, and the single parent genetic algorithm was designed.Aiming at the dynamic scheduling problem, an overall utility function was setup, andthe ranking and resource conflict resolution strategies were developed.③Based on human-centered road design process model, the paper proposed aexecutable process simulation model and the implementation technology. In thesimulation, human and organization impacts, static scheduling and dynamic schedulingbehaviors were studied by experiment. In the experiment of static scheduling, the initialplan was optimized by decomposing tasks and rescheduling human resources. In theexperiment of human and organization impacts, the flat organization structure and thefunctional organization structure were analyzed. In the experiment of dynamic scheduling, the rationality of arbitration mechanism based on overall utility functionwas verified.④The key technologies of networked design project management was studied inthis paper, including design workflow analysis and optimization,networked anddynamic project monitoring and coordinating, and integrated project informationmanagement. Based on the key technology, networked roadway project managementsystem and application was developed. Practical application shows that networkedroadway design project management can improve management efficiency of designproject, controlling and adjusting real-time project plan, accurately evaluating theperformance of design team member.
