Optical multichannel detection technology in visible spectrum based on multichanneltheory is studied in this thesis, including:The basic theory of optical multichannel detection is introduced, the two classesof optical multichannel detection technology, spatial mode and spectral mode, aredescribed respectively. The developments of space-based optical object detection,multi-spectrum object detection, Hadamard transform spectral imaging detection,as the three typical applications in spectral mode multichannel detectiontechnology, are introduced and summarized. The research significance of opticalmultichannel detection in visible spectrum is discussed. The space-based optical object detection technology is studied. Based on theneeds of some specific space-object detection project, a visible spectrum camerawith wide field of view is designed. The system parameters are discussed andcalculated, a set of principle and method for designing large aperture lens is given. The validity of the optical design is testified by ground imaging experiments. The airborne multispectral technology is studied. The scheme of a miniaturizedmultispectral camera is given, which can be used as pay load for high-altitude andhigh-speed airplane. The detailed design parameters, based on the working statusof the carrier and the object character, are given to direct the optical design. Inaddition, specific energy estimating method for multispectral camera is discussedand a full imaging evaluation is given. The two classes of optical multiplexing are analyzed based on the basicmultiplexing theory. Major efforts have been given to propose the mathematicalbasis and the mask implementation of Hadamard transform spectral detectiontechnique. Moreover, the operating principle of two categories, spatialmodulation mode and spectral modulation mode, are summarized and discussed. The design schemes of two space-based Hadamard transform spectral imagers, which work in infrared and visible spectrum respectively, are proposed. Focusingon the visible spectrum designing requirements, a prototype is developed and putinto test; the instrument’s validity is proved by the experimental results. The main innovative ideas in the thesis are listed as below:1. A practical design method of lens with large aperture and wide field of viewis presented.2. Estimating method of detecting capability for the multispectral camera isdeduced.3. A novel design scheme of spectral modulation type Hadamard transformspectral imager is proposed. The use of refractive optics instead of mirrorsmakes the design more suitable for space-based application.4. The specific optical design requirements, adjusting method and maskpositioning, which are vital issues of the spectral encoding Hadamardtransform spectral imager, are discussed in detail. The assembly of theengineering prototype is successful and its validity is testified by the experimental results.
