Meishan culture is created and inherited by generations of people from Meishanarea. It is a folk cultural heritage with distinctive regional characteristics.Central Hunan region is its core area, and it exerts influence on Sichuan, Guangxi,Guizhou and southwest China. Technically speaking, the essence of Meishan cultureis a non-material cultural ideology. In the long history of the development process, there is a large number of non-material cultural legacy in Meishan Village, and affectsthe local rural traditional architecture and the environment from all aspects of sociallife. Meanwhile, as the bearer of Meishan intangible cultural spaces and places, village traditional architecture environment has reflected the non-material culturalfeatures from the village spatial layout, architectural form, detailed decoration andother aspects. After entering the new century, the development in the rural area of China hasentered into a new historical period. The macro background of new rural constructionpromotes the rural construction of Meishan into a new development period. However, due to various reasons, most of the new rural constructions only remain in thematerial infrastructure level, while ignoring the social, cultural and many otherfactors. Architecture and environment, as the material carrier for rural traditionalculture, have been damaged and destructed in varying degrees. Rural non-materialcultural heritage is gradually disappearing. If the new rural construction repeat thesame old path of urban construction "design all the cities in the same model", which isa devastating construction. It will result in losing the construction space systems andthe overall style of the traditional villages, so that the loss of local intangible culturemay lose material carriers and spatial sites. How to use a scientific approach andattitude to carry out the construction of rural architecture environment, and conducthistorical and cultural heritage protection for Meishan non-material culture has beenthe academic proposition and core issue of this research, thus to integratenon-material culture into the design of rural architectural environment. Based on theresearch and investigation on rural architecture environment and local intangiblecultural heritage of Meishan area, the author has proposed three modes for theIntangible Cultural Heritage in the construction of new rural Meishan areas: thewhole-preservation protection, the reconstruction protection&the new-constructionprotection.This paper in accordance with the theoretical basis and practice demonstrationcarries out a systematic study in two parts. The paper is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter defines The proposed topic, research status at home and abroad, purpose, meaning, mainy content and methods. Chapter two is about reviews ofnon-material cultural theory in Meishan areas and Chapter three about the analysis ontraditional rural architectures environment in Meishan cultural area. And conductselaboration on the content and features of the non-material culture, and formation anddevelopment of rural architecture environment. Chapter four discusses the relationshipbetween Meishan intangible cultural and rural architectures environment, which is the corepart of the theoretical study of this paper. It analyzes the correlation between Meishanintangible culture and rural construction environment, and proposes the unified andcoordinated relationship between Meishan intangible cultural heritage and ruralarchitectures environment. The author has pointed out that non-material culture has impacton the architectures environment, in the meantime architecture environment is the materialcarrier for non-material culture. Chapter five analyzes the modern development andproblems of Meishan intangible culture protection and rural architecture environment, andthen combined with the case to explore the basic causes of the problem.Chapter six studies the protection and design methods of Meishan rural constructionenvironment, The author has proposed that new rural construction in rural areas ofMeishan should be based on the conditions update and improvement, trying to keeptraditional rural styles and features, thus to provide material carriers and space fornon-material cultural heritage. Therefore, the original substance and spiritual needs can bemet. And then it puts forward separate method for the protection and update constructionmethods.Chapter seven is theoretical demonstration and case analysis, which demonstratesthe operability of rural building environment protection and construction patterns with Meishan non-material cultural heritage at the core based on the actual cases. combining withthe practical cases and existing situation of Meishan rural architecture environment andintangible cultural heritage. It divides the construction modes into three types: theprotection, transforming&protection and new protection. From the background ofdifferent villages, traditional architecture and cultural characteristics of the environment, the status and bearing space for non-material cultural relics, the author gives specificmethods for rural architecture environment and non-material cultural heritage protection.
