A Study On Theories And Methods Of Chinese Landscape Artificial Mound Design

When raising the level of urban construction,we should preserve the existing natural scenery, such as mountains and streams, but also merge the modern city with the Mother Nature and let every citizen be able to enjoy the beauty of their home. In this strategic context and under the final goal of constructing the scenic cities, the landscape artificial mound design, which highlights the Chinese culture and natural features with ecological intelligence of valuing nature and economy, plays an important role in the construction of modern gardens in the general principles of Chinese landscape city. The Chinese traditional landscape artificial mound design has the dual characteristics of technique and arts and pursues the combination.It utilizes the arts to drive the technique and composites the considerations of landscape poetry and painting, landscape literature, environmental ecology and engineering technology to show ancient people’s intelligence. The landscape artificial mound design has to conform to the natural geomorphologic landscape formation and evolution to create an artistic effect of "seemingly deep prospect1" and "liking nature".In the modern landscape construction, the landscape artificial mound design face the problem of scale growing, insufficient cultural features and artistic level.The research of the thesis is under the guideline of cosmology of "nature-man unity’ and cultural general principles as well as the artistic law of landscape artificial mound design of "make artificial view according to nature and make artificial become natural". It starts from the purpose and meaning of landscape artificial mound design and proceeds with its development history and cultural origin. It also explores the landscape artificial mound design design theory which conforms to the construction requirements of the socialism with Chinese characteristics and embodies the Chinese traditional landscape feature through literature sorting, field visit, model analysis, and induction-deduction method.,By doing so we can improve the modern garden design practice while developing and innovating with the times on the basis of inheriting tradition and carrying it forward. The values of the thesis achievement are:1) It studies and analyses the traditional culture origin bringing the formation and development of China’s landscape artificial mound design, as well as the styles and deductive characteristics in various dynasties. It thoroughly summarizes the function expansion and transformation.2) The theory essence is based on Chinese traditional landscape artificial mound design and garden design culture.It analyzes from ten aspects, i.e. conception, three far rules, layout and"xing-shi", foothills first (wei shan xian lu), left sharp right slow, quality in the front, constructing houses using moutains, apply the green mountains, poem in themountain and change of time and space, to summarize a design sequence and creation method of landscape artificial mound design based on China’s situation. It also raises an affordable landscape artificial mound design formation which the ecology complies the nature, culture is inherited, technique is driven by art in the beautiful outer appearance and the earth and stones are combined.3) The paper makes a deep systematic analysis of the design rules of Xinghuachun Pavillion of Yuanmingyuan Garden and the Kuoran Dagong scenic spot and raises new ideas as the typical case and theory verification.4) It does the expansion research of the sustainable development of the design and construction of hills from the planning of Chinese landscape city, ecological intelligence and digital techniques. It also improves the system of the sustainable development of landscape artificial mound design in China and connects past and future. Some new design and model research methods are applied in the thesis.
