Abstract/Summary:
The study on aneient doctors’academic ideas is one of the important ways to theinheritance, innovation and development of TCM theory. Xue Ji’s academic ideas of TCMsurgery is unique and his clinical experience is rich. However, the present study on XueJi’s academic ideas of TCM surgery is not comprehensive and the research results can notshow the panorama of it, so a further exploration and discover is needed. The objective ofthis thesis is to grasp Xue Ji’s academic ideas and diagnosis and treatment experience ofTCM surgery in thorough perspectives,summarize Xue Ji’s academic ideas of TCMsurgery system,and carry forward Xue Ji’s academic ideas and rich clinical experience ofTCM surgery,enriches and develops TCM surgery theory and treatment method,so as toguide the clinical practice of TCM surgery better and improve the clinical efficacy.This thesis, by the research thinking and method of traditional literature,analyze XueJi’s academic ideas and diagnosis and treatment experience of TCM surgery,absorbs theessence from them, objectively expounds that Xue Ji had maked a monumentalcontribution to TCM surgery through the comprehensive, systematic and deep study onXue Ji’s five books:Wai Ke Fa Hui,Wai Ke Shu Yao,Wai Ke Xin Fa,Wai Ke Jing YanFang,Li Yang Ji Yao,and five other books:Jiao Zhu Wai Ke Jing Yao,Jiao Zhu Yong JuShen Mi Yan Fang,Bao Ying Cuo Yao(Volume11~15),Jiao Zhu Fu Ren Liang Fang(Volume24),Nv Ke Cuo Yao(The parts refers to surgical disease).The results of the studies are listed as follows:1.In order to find the root of disease, Xue Ji emphasized the importance of syndrome differenciation based on thought relating tofive-Zang viseral;he thought that the stomach was five zang organs origin and the root ofhuman body,the occurrence and gather head and healing of skin and external diseases wasdepended on stomach Qi,the prognosis of skin and external diseases was closely related tostomach Qi,and he put forward that in treating skin and external diseases,the qi andstomach should be strengthened first.2.He paid attention to invigorating spleen and kidneyand nurish its source,and he was well experienced in using medicine.3.He used syndromedifferentiation and treatment theory to all surgical disease,and improve the clinicalefficacy of TCM surgery;he was adept in using differentiation of channels and collaterals,syndrome differentiation of zang-fu viscera,eight principal syndrome differentiation,andsyndrome differentiation of qi and blood etc. to diagnose surgical disease.4.He diagnosedsurgical disease by synthesis of the four diagnostic methods, especially attachedimportance to pulse-taking,and he was well experienced in the pulse-taking and inspectionof TCM;and he also attached importance to the differential diagnosis and the prognosis ofthe disease.5.His the warm-tonification thought was embodied in three aspects:tonicnourish in the morning and evening respectively,swift tonic nourish for the emergency,pure tonic nourish for deficiency;he was adept in using warm-tonification but not ignoredcool and cold medicinals.6.He attributed deficiency syndrome of TCM surgery to the footthree yin. So he nourishe the foot three yin and take the spleen as the key factor.7.He paidattention to the inner treatment in the treatment of surgical disease,he was adept in usingthe toxin-eliminating munipulation,and this method could disperse the toxin,dischargepus,remove putrefaction,converge sores,and he created tori reagent;he advocatedmoxibustion in surgical disease treatment,he used moxibustion in clinical practice,such asindirect moxibustion,or direct contact moxibustion;he thought when the blood changedinto pus,the acupuncture should be timely applyed,and he was well experienced in theacupuncture opportune moment and needle depth;he was adept in using internal andexternal treatment methods for the treatment of surgical disease,to make a full recovery;he put forward that in treating skin and external disease, the medicine should be usedaccording to the syndrome and the method should be flexible.8.His the warm-tonification thought affected Zhang Jingyue,Zhao Xianke and Li Zhongzi.9.In the3main surgicalgenres in Ming and Qing dynasty,Zheng Zong School and Xin De School were deeplyinfluenced by Xue Ji.The conclusions of the studies:Xue Ji paid attention to treating disease from the rootand attach importance on stomach Qi,invigorating spleen and kidney and nurish itssource,and he developed the theory of “hua yuan” which embodied the theory of"preventing disease before its onset";he formed accurate dialectical thinking and method;he attributed deficiency syndrome of TCM surgery to the foot three yin,he paid attentionto use warm-tonification and synthesized various external treatment methods,whichsignificantly improved the accuracy of clinical diagnosis and treatment effect. Hisacademic ideas and diagnosis and treatment experience of TCM surgery had a deepinfluence on later generations,and these experience has still very important reference valuefor TCM surgery clinical today.
