Objective:To explore the inheritance and innovation of Treatise on Febrile Diseases (Shanghanlun) to the exogenous febrile disease, and its effect to the febrile disease theory’s formation and development. To enhance the theoretical understanding of the development, the change mechanism and the differentiation and treatment of febrile disease.Methods:By collecting literature,carding and summarizing the relevant content of the Thermal properties diseases in Treatise on Febrile Disease systematically,to explore the inheritance and innovation of Treatise on Febrile Disease to Yellow Emperor’s Canon of internal medicine (Huangdineijing) and The Classic of Difficult Issues(Nanjing) on the Theory of febrile disease, and the impact on epidemic febrile disease formation and development, in future generations.Results:The Yellow Emperor’s Canon of internal medicine first Pioneered the Syndrome differentiation of the six meridians, the table spread change, meridian transmission theory,and the theory of meridians with acupuncture,diaphoresis, and purgative treatment.And through inspection, auscultation-olfaction, interrogation and palpation methode to diagnose the Exogenous diseases, and according to the characteristics of exogenous fever Put forward principle of treat early, Purging Heat,in the light of its general trend. The Classic of Difficult Issues Put forward "generalized typhoid theory", and the five kinds of typhoid pulse are described.
