The Analysis On The Pathogenesis And Diagnostic Treatment Of Shao Yin’s Yang Deficiency Syndrome By Using The Theory Of I-Ching

Objective:Applying the theory of I-Ching in the analysis of the onset pathology and treatment by differentiation of syndrome of the Shao Yin’s Yang Deficiency in Treatise of Cold Pathogenic Disease. For the purpose of mastering a better treatment by differentiation of syndrome for Shao Yin’s Yang Deficiency, broadening and strengthening the usage and value of the Si Ni Tang Decoction.Method:This study will analyse according to the theory of Classic of Changes(I-Ching), using the original study, literature inspection, sorting method and theoretical research method, follow by induction, consolidation and probing the onset pathology and treatment by differentiation of syndrome of the Shao Yin’s Yang Deficiency in Treatise of Cold Pathogenic Disease. This study will base on the theory of I-Ching as priority and refer to the theory of The Yellow Emperor Classic and the law of the nature as supplementary. All these theories will be served as the profound measurements of the research.Outcome:This research will base on the theory of I-Ching as priority, integrates with the theory of The Yellow Emperor Classic and the law of the nature in conducting a systematic analysis on the etiology, pathogenesis and treatment by differentiation of syndrome for the Shao Yin’s Yang Deficiency either the Disharmony of the Fire and Water or the Disruption of the Fire and Water. The normal healthy condition for a human’s body resembles one of the hexagram in 64 Hexagrams which is Harmonization of Water and Fire((?))-This hexagram is formed by 2 trigrams which are Kan Water((?)) on the upper part and Li Fire((?)) on the lower part. The opposition of this healthy condition will be The Disharmony of the Fire and Water or The Disruption of Fire and Water which resembles the discretion of Yin and Yang condition. In fact, Shao Yin’s Yang deficiency condition is the condition of upper Li Fire((?)) and lower Kan Water((?)). Both elements do not regulate each other. It generates the condition of Disharmony of Fire and Water ((?)). The root cause of this condition is the deficiency of Qian Yuan(Original Yang). If the Shao Yin’s Yang deficiency aggravated, it could evolve into the Disruption of Fire and Water. It means that the 2 basic survival elements of the human being are disrupted and perished. If Yang energy continues to decrease, the Li Fire will be destroyed and Kan Water cannot be formed. Two basic survival elements of the heaven and earth are disrupted. This is a deteriorated and worsen condition compared to Disharmony of Fire and Water. This condition is considered as deteriorated transmission and transition process into Jue Yin Disease.Conclusion:In the treatment of the Shao Yin’s Yang Deficiency(Disharmony of Fire and water), Four Inverse Decoction and its variances which can recuperate the yang and rescue the inversion are applied. This method is to consolidate and recuperate the Yang, help the body to achieve Soothing Yin and Consolidating Yang, or harmonization of water and fire condition. The recovery of the Yuan Spirit and Yang Energy are the main focus in the process of the treatment. Treatment should bring the body to the condition of Harmonization of Water and Fire. The Yang is the fundamental of Yi(I-Ching), while the Yi(I-Ching) is the manifestation of Yang. I-Ching has a thorough description on Yang and Yuan Spirit Yang and Yuan Spirit are the two blind spots for the modern science and medical fields. The modern science and medical fields merely focus on the tangible part(yin) and ignores the existence of the intangible(Yang and Yuan Spirit). As a result, Modern science and medical field could not break through the limitation and barrier while dealing with the more sophisticated disease which happen nowadays. In view of such, the application of I-Ching theory in the research and exploration of the Yang spirit and Yuan Spirit become meaningful and significant.
