Revolutionary model opera have even flourished in the Cultural Revolution in China in1966-1976. It is a literary fact what worth exploring in depth as both a literary movement and a literary text parallel to its art form. The literary school which leads model opera not only in campaign development process but in the production, adaptation and dissemination of literature text and performance shape, no matter in then with "the promoter of Beijing Opera revolution","Beijing Opera revolution commune","revolution fighting Corps" or "proletariat literary team""backbone" claiming to be, or later in the scholar’s study known as "leftist literary faction" and "literature radical sent" or "the representative figures of radical literary thought", also are the historical existence of specific period. For model operas from the Genesis, culture structure, adaptation mechanisms to the existing state of extremely complex facts in literary history, only on the basis of the text read, combined with the combing to the ideology and culture which influence its occurrence and development in modern historical, the dynamic history and aesthetic analysis, to truly reveal the deep cultural implication and significance of literary history.Based on close reading and collating to model opera from the source text to those adapted texts at different times, this thesis explored the history origins of model opera in occurrence and formation, the statute to model opera adaptation in the appeal of ideological identity and radical political strategy, the situation of the existence of secular life world and traditional ethical value in the revolutionary discourse discipline, the borrowing, rewriting and incorporation to Jianghu discourse and ethics in model opera adaptation process, the depth of the heritage association and its inheritance variation between model opera and national traditional opera. In the cultural network that have been woven together by tradition and modern, history and aesthetics, the state political demands and national culture characteristic, try to outline out the cultural connection in multilayer composite between the adaptation of model opera and national political ideal pursuit, revolutionary literature thought inheriting, folk ethical value replacement and traditional opera quality reconstruction.This thesis is divided into the introduction, main body and the conclusion.The introduction describes the model opera as formed in20th century50-70’s an important literature and cultural phenomenon, in new era of literature study experience three species in history evolution pattern, that should be the experience reappearance mode, the concept imagine mode and theoretical construction mode, those have differently based on personal and social memory classification and integration, cultural theory and method transplantation and history sympathy and context restore. In order to further explore the meaning of culture of model opera phenomenon, we should build a vision of cultural integrity, probe and comb model Opera depth associated with the quality of traditional and cultural characterization of it as a national ceremony in the Cultural Revolution.Main body is divided into five parts.The first part focuses on the historical origins of model operas. Country drama policies and drama activities during the founding to the Cultural Revolution, shows the displacement of literary style center to drama since the late1950’s. And the reform of Chinese traditional operas embarked on a continuous pure of road by launching a full range of the integration process. The synthesis of national form and socialist content eventually achieved the style of revolutionary modern Peking Opera due to multiple conflict and purification, which happened between speech drama and Chinese traditional operas, many different kinds of local opera and Peking Opera, traditional repertoires and modern repertoires, life themes and socialist themes. In the course of revolutionary modern operas tend to be dominant, national drama had been purified to perfection but also changed from the variety to the narrowness and homogeneity. In fact the drama pure lead literary model tendency has made its clue in Yanan literary movement. Because the model opera originated in yanan literature in1942to this historical karma as the starting to model opera staging, it’s the occurrence, formation and adaptation process can be divides into the germination period (1942-1958), the contention period (1959-1963), named (1964-1967), the final issue (1968-1976) four phases of history.The second part analysis the script changes of main plays of model opera, and based on this, focuses on the leading effect of party national ideology in the formation and adaptation of model opera. This chapter selects9plays relate to modern Peking Opera "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy","Red Lantern","Shajiabang","Harbor""Raid on the White Tiger Regiment","Ode to Longjiang","Azalea Mountain", and the ballet "the White-Haired Girl","the Red Detachment of Women" as the main representative model plays, analysis each of these respectively plays adapted evolution from the source of its occurrence manuscript to a final adapted, and visually presented it in tabular form. Carding the rheology of model opera mainly play scripts, this thesis expounds the political discourse operation mode and its final result in the adaptation process of model opera, which based on the analysis of the leading intention from model opera adaptation, the plot structure, model opera theme orientation and character set, and the formation of the "three emphasis" and its derivative principle by clearing those heresy tendency in drama adaptation, etc.The third part discusses the latent and deconstruction of secular ethics value in model opera adaptation. They play in the revolutionary character and noble spirit purifying impulse together, constitute the symbolic picture of social mobilization in socialist modernity pursuit.The fourth part examines the discourse incorporation of revolution on Jianghu by studying three cases those are "Taking Tiger Mountain by Strategy","Shajiabang" and "Azalea Mountain" with prototype research methods as the foundation. Three cases reflects different strategies that revolutionary discourse incorporate Jianghu discourse. Adaptation of "taking Tiger Mountain" embodied compromise and borrowing in revolutionary discourse on Jianghu. The life-and-death struggle based on the different class position changes ingeniously into folk ethics conflict that is "Things of Jianghu end in Jianghu" by borrowing Jianghu moral principle."Shajiabang" adaptation is mainly reflected in the process and rewrite of revolutionary discourse to Jianghu ethics. Process method is taken on proletariat discourse to Jianghu in order to treat differently the Jianghu feature which is exist in hero characters and opposite characters. And the adaptation of "Azalea Mountain" from drama to Beijing Opera also finally completed purification and incorporation on Jianghu ethics through deduce repeattly the model opera established characters triangular structure pattern, highlighting "the Party commands the gun" that "Chairman Mao’s proletarian army route" at the same time.The fifth part analysis and discusses the inheritance and variation in model opera to traditional Chinese Opera from the text structure and performance form two aspects. On the one hand, Model opera claimed that imposed on "the most thoroughly of break off" with traditional opera while it is dominated by radical political ideology, but on the other hand, it maintain contact with traditional opera quality on different levels, in different degrees not only in the text constitute but also in stage performance, although these contact with lofty revolutionary discourse to packing. This chapter reveals inheritance and variation of model opera to classical opera art mechanism form five aspects, and put forward the point of view of "new concept facebook" through discusses the reconstruction of model opera facebook.At last, the conclusion points out that revolutionary model opera is the myth which is constructed by the Socialist avant-garde, focusing on the feasibility of the academic concept while the socialist avant-garde as a contemporary literary school.
