This paper tries to fully recover from 1613 to 1777 the CochinChina Ruan Lords and from 1802 to 1874 the Ruan Dynasty of Catholic policy. On this basis, the analysis basis for the formation of the Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy and the Ruan Dynasty prohibited Catholic of the causes, and the comparison of the spread of Catholicism in China and Vietnam and Vietnam Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy with China’s Qing Dynasty Catholic policy, points out their similarities and differences. To help Vietnam research community on the historical position of the Ruan Dynasty and the Catholic policy evaluation can have a comprehensive and objective perspective, and to provide reference opinions for the current religious policy in Vietnam. From 17th century onwards, through the efforts of the Jesuits, Catholic spread into the Vietnam CochinChina. However, this process is more difficult than expected missionaries. As a foreign religion, Catholicism outset encountered on political, cultural and other aspects of obstacles and resistance. At that time, because clearly recognize the Catholic in the CochinChina, that are seriously against the Vietnamese traditional culture, to threaten the political rule of their own family, especially may lead to the subjugation of the disaster, therefore, the Ruan Lords government and CochinChina social forces of anti-religion phase of cooperation, continue to repel, strike and beware of the Catholic Church. This is the fundamental reason for the Ruan Lords government implementation of the prohibition Catholic policy in 17th,18th century. The prohibition Catholic policy of Ruan Lords is not complete in the actual implementation, because of showing the characteristics of "sometimes banned, sometimes tolerance", but Catholic is prohibited with more stringent policies to the origin by the future. In 19th century, although Xishan agitation and interrupted the period of rule, but in Ruan Fuying’s efforts to establish the Ruan Dynasty, became the ruling regime in the whole of Vietnam. At that time, the situation had a profound changed in the Far East. In foreign countries, the colonialists public use Catholic in order to realize their attempts to invade the Far East. In Vietnam, a large number of Western missionaries and Christian riots continue to occur. This situation makes Ruan Dynasty monarch due to a profound understanding of the conflict between the Catholic Church and the Vietnamese culture, the threat of religious power to the emperor’s power and the reality of the collusion between the Catholic Church and the colonialism, it will be eventually erupted imminent subjugation disaster. Therefore, the Ruan Dynasty for Catholic suspicion and beware ever-growing. This also leads to Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy change. From 1802 to 1832, Ruan Dynasty emperors in order to appreciate The French and foreign missionaries to the revival of the king of the industry, so nominally Catholic allow free dissemination. But in fact, some measures to limit the development of Catholicism in Vietnam in this phase has been promulgated and implemented. To 19th century 40,50 years, with the aggression of the French colonists from the provocation and threat to the development of the open military occupation of the territory of Vietnam, as well as in the process some of the missionaries of the Paris foreign missionary society acts as the French invaders "Guides", Ruan Dynasty has led to the introduction of a large number of decrees prohibiting Catholic, in order to achieve the purpose of the "extinction" of the Vietnamese Catholic Church. Therefore, from 1833 to 1874 for nearly half a century, it was the history of Vietnam’s Catholic Church prohibition of the most intense period of the Catholic policy. With the Catholic policy of China Qing Dynasty compared, because of the differences in China and Vietnam in the political, economic, social, cultural and other background, so at each stage, the spread of Catholicism in China and Vietnam and Qing Dynasty, the Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy specific contents and effects of implementation there are differences. However, on the whole, the prohibition Catholic policy is throughout of trend. Especially as a typical oriental feudal state or country. Confucian ideology profoundly affects all aspects of social life, significance in China and Vietnam, the rulers and the various classes in politics, culture and so on response to Catholic is compared to the same. There are China and Vietnam also have adopted a common reason for banning Catholic practices. In addition, in each period, Vietnam Ruan Dynasty regime will reference the Catholic policy of Qing Dynasty in a certain degree. This also leads to at some stage of history, Qing Dynasty, Ruan Dynasty for the Catholic policy has a certain similarity. The research of this topic has great significance both in theory and in practice. In this paper comprehensive and systematic restore from 17th to 19th Century Vietnam Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy, to provide researchers with a series of scientific historical documents about the Catholic policy of the last feudal dynasty in Vietnam. Especially now, the Ruan Lords period (17th,18th Century) relatively few Catholic countermeasures first hand data and research findings, therefore, the study of the Catholic Church in this period is more necessary and valuable, so as to help Vietnamese researchers the time evolution of the Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy evaluation has an overall and profound perspective. Not only that, this paper will also Vietnam Ruan Dynasty and China Qing Dynasty of Catholic policy comparative study, point out and analysis the basic reasons for the similarities and differences between Qing Dynasty and Ruan Dynasty’s Catholic policy, not only makes the Chinese and Vietnamese scholars have the opportunity to know each other about the changes and characteristics of the of the other party’s Catholic history, but also help them clearly understanding and accurate evaluation the status and influence of the Qing Dynasty in China and Vietnam Ruan Dynasty Catholic policy of the historical process of China and Vietnam.
