In the21st century, cultural globalization becomes an irresistible reality of all countries in the world today. As a "posterior and exogenous" developing country China has been inevitably affected drastically by cultural globalization and deeply feels the tremendous pressure from the West. Along with the influx of Western educational theories, China’s educational theories are inevitably suffering from "aphasia", lying in an awkward position in the world community of educational theories without the right to speak. And educational theories are playing a weak role in guiding educational practice. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct indigenous innovation of educational theories with Chinese characteristics in order to enhance the guiding role of educational theories in educational practice. This is an inevitable choice to maintain the national identity of educational theories and enhance their right to speak in the context of globalization.Although the development of Chinese educational theories in recent years has been focusing on bring-in, resulting in few theories and doctrines with local characteristics existing in China’s system of educational theories that are really developed by Chinese scholars and used to solve practical problems of China’s education, it is undeniable that over a hundred years the vast number of Chinese educators based on the educational development needs have made a number of constructive attempts in educational practice and created a number of educational theories with local characteristics suitable for China, thereby having made an indelible contribution to China’s educational reform and development. These educational theories with local characteristics have to a certain extent promoted "Westward Spread of Oriental Culture", making an undeniable contribution to the education of China and the world.Therefore, it is necessary to summarize and comb existing educational theories with local characteristics to indigenous innovation of contemporary educational theories with Chinese characteristics.In this paper, many research methods will be used, such as the literature research, the historical analysis, the comparative research, etc. The author will define the criterion of "the local characteristic education theory" based on the rational interpretation of the connotation, characteristics and theoretical basis of the indigenous creation of educational theory. The author will screen out the life education theory, the civilian education theory, the situation education theory, the successful education theory and the life· practice education theory as the typical case of local characteristic education theory according to backtracking the historical course of the development of Chinese education theory in one hundred years. The author points out that the research community of inner contradictions of the educational development, the mightily pressing social objective need, the rich cultural accumulation and owning core characters is the necessary soil of the indigenous creation of educational theory. According to the compare of the creative environment of the local characteristic education theory between the current and the history, the author points out the time opportunity and realistic obstacles which the indigenous creation faces. In order to create the local characteristic education theory, the subject of the creation should take the firm stand of the discoverer and solver of the existing education problems, the sublation and regeneration of the Chinese traditional culture and the interpreter and critics of foreign education theory. In addition, the subject of the creation should try to make themselves to own the remarkable character, the broad and profound knowledge literacy, the unique creative thinking and the rigorous theoretical thinking; The subject of the creation should adhere to the "comprehensive innovation" methodology for guidance which refers to holding innovative ideas of "tolerance", abiding by integrated innovation principles of "with one taking more" and pursuing the practice strategy of "consolidated basis and open source", and make the local characteristic education theory to be created.In the historical perspective and global vision, this paper explores the creative way of the local characteristic education theory in the realistic situation based on original innovation process of the local characteristic education theory. The gist of this paper is "reflecting on the past, mirroring the present and motivating the future"...
