With reform and openness and the reconstruction of the relation between state and society, and the advancement of community building, the path and capacity building of rural self-organization has been drawn the most attention. A traditional folk organization the Qingmiao Group widespreads in rural society, and has formed the distinct characteristics in different regions and different ethnic groups. Tus’ Qingmiao Group is a support and autonomous organization, rooted in Tus’history, faith and life practice, and has a unique operating logic. It is a comprehensive reflection about self-management of society and making full use of social and cultural resources.According to the empirical study, this dissertation analyses the growing space, origin and formation path, organization structure, activities of Tus’Qingmiao Group; also analyses the relationship between Tus’Qingmiao Group and other social organization in Tus’rural society; further, discusses difficulties in transition period, changes, and developing trendency in future. The dissertation try to show a panorama of the traditional folk organization which has holistic view, as well as reveal the inner order and operating rule in Tus rural society and even in Hehuang rural society. Throughout the full dissertation, it is mainly divided into the following four sections:Firstly, the nature environment and history scenarios Tus live in influence their organization system. Analysis of the natural environment and cultural diversity can be clearly presented how the Tus rural society affected by ecological fragility, and then taken more consisitent action and formed a broad social union. Tus’Qingmiao Group is related the formation of the Tus’history, especially Tus engaged in agricultural production and living together. And from the perspective of the overall development, the state power will also reach’frontier environment’.Secondly, Tus’Qingmiao Group is a product of the combination of local, consanguine and religious relationships. It forms the types of’one-village and one-temple and one-organization’and’many-village and one-temple and one-organization’with faith-based and the village temple as activity center, ’chairman-terouqi’and’chairman-old man-terouqi’are various classes within the organization. The chairman is mainly elected by three kinds of rotating, god-choosing, people-choosing and god-determining. Production foundation of the old man and terouqi is full of the meaning of family alliance.Once again, the relation of Tus’Qingmiao Group between ritual activities and daily actions is bidirectional. With the special living location and social relaitonship, Tus people created space-time institution that be common identited and abided by Tus people. In the space-time, the ritual activities and the actual behaviors of Tus’ Qingmiao Group jointly construct the cohesion and the sense of order of local society, and improve the ability of people to respond to natural and social risks. At the same time, in these two fields, the authority of organization has been consolidated and ascended.Finally, Tus’Qingmiao Group interacts with the other rural social organizations even state complicated. From the perspective of horizontal region, Tus’Qingmiao Group and Ma-ni Group have many similarities and play a role to the rural society according to the traditional rules. Also, they interact with the political organization in the village. From the perspective of the vertical development, Tus’Qingmiao Group makes use of the symbols of state-present to obtain the living space and the capital of development to improve the legitimacy. The state uses the public power to regulate and manage the operation of organization, and gives the organization specific cultural meaning. The change of Tus’ Qingmiao Group is a two-way interaction and adaptation between state and society.
