Although the M&A is becoming a main subject for a soaring-ambitionenterprise, there are many M&A activities turning out to fail. This is mainly because:1. In practice, the firms containing in a M&A focus more on the negotiations andtrade than the integration and resources reorganization after the M&A which play acrucial role for obtaining the M&A synergies;2. From a theoretical standpoint,there are little research delving into the M&A. Therefore the lack of the M&Atheory makes it difficult to obtain the M&A synergy. Especially in the face of thefierce competition of the world nowadays, how to obtain the M&A synergies by theoperations and integrations of the supply chain, has becomes a most difficultproblem. So, horizontal M&A has become an important content of the moderneconomic life, and how to obtain the M&A synergy by the optimal operations of thesupply chain has become the mainstream of the study of scholars. Therefore, it isvaluable to study the optimal operations of the supply chain after the horizontalM&A.Based on the above ideas, in our dissertation, from the angle of supply chainmanagement after horizontal M&A, in order to obtain the synergy effect after M&A,we focus on the game analysis between supply chain before the horizontal M&A,analyze the characteristics of the supply chain network after the horizontal M&A,present the essence and the agent of the horizontal M&A and give the optimaloperations of the supply chain network after the horizontal M&A. There are mainlyincluded three fold: The optimal strategies for the stakeholders in the supply chainnetwork with only one homogeneous product are derived by using the stochasticequilibrium. First, the manufacturers decide the price and production; After this, tomaximize their profit, the retailers make the rational price according to the decisionof the manufacturers; Then finally, the consumers decide the corresponding retailersto obtain the product by their transportation costs and the price in the retailers.After comparing horizontal mergers and vertical mergers motivation andfeatures based on the advantages of horizontal mergers and acquisitions refined,clear horizontal merger resource leveling characteristics, theoretical analysis theconnotation and synergies of the supply chain network, stochastic game starting tobuild the random equilibrium model of the SCN, a prerequisite random gameequilibrium are analyzed in detail.
