The Application Of Data Mining And Visualization Technology In The Research Of GI Science

In the background of "Big Data" era, the number of documents in various fields increased sharply. It is meaningful of data mining and intelligence analysis on documents. Based on the documents of Cartography and GI Science, data mining and visual analysis was made in this dissertation. Spatial cognition laws and models about thematic map were researched by survey questionnaire, and the achievement was applied into the document visualization.In the data mining and visualization on geographic information from documents, Heat Map, Cartogram and other related visualization techniques were researched and applied in the analysis of geographical distribution and cooperation relationships between hotspot regions.In the data mining and visualization on non-geographic information from documents, the related theories and methods of Mapping knowledge Domains were used to track the scientific research status in this field, which were researched through five areas:author partnership, keywords, title-words, cooperative relations of different research institutions, document co-citation analysis. The result achieved in this dissertation would provide guidance and scientific basis for future research work.
