Anisotropic metallic nanostructures always have unique optical performance for their unique surface plasmon resonance mode.They have application prospects in optical sensing.Their optical properties depend on the morphology and arrangement of the structures.Traditional fabricating technologies in the construction of anisotropic metallic nanostructures have many limitations.It is very important to design and construct anisotropic metallic nanostructures with good optical sensing performance by efficient method.In this thesis,we propose template methods to construct anisotropic metallic nanostructures.Using simple templates,we fabricated two kinds of three dimensional anisotropic metallic nanostructures and studied their optical sensing performance.At the same time,we developed a method to construct templates with complex morphology.Using these templates,we managed to construct metallic nanocrescents,metallic U sharped structures and metallic rings,then we studied their optical sensing properties.This thesis includes the following three parts:Firstly,we designed a polymer supported opposite metal spindles in nanowells structure.Then we constructed the structure using a nanopillar template.This kind of nanostructure has a coupling peak which is sensitive to the change of the surrounding medium.The sensitivity can reach 547.18 nm RIU-1 in different sucrose solution.This kind of nanostructure can be used as high sensitive refractive index sensor which has potential application in practical detection and sensing.Secondly,we designed a free-standing nanomouth structure.We managed to construct this kind of nanostructure using a nanocone template.This kind of nanostructure has good sensitivity in gas sensing.It can be used in practical gas sensing.Thirdly,we developed a method of constructing special morphological templates to build crescent,U sharped and ring templates.Using these templates we can construct metallic nanocrescent,U sharped and nanoring structures.The optical sensing properties of these structures was studied.The mold can be used many times which can avoid the deviation of fabricated nanostructures between two samples by other methods.This method can reduce the cost in mass fabricating of metal crescent nanostructures.
