The high-strength steel has been more widely used in the field of aerospace,shipbuilding,chemical equipment and others,which was processed by mainly using resin grinding wheels for surface grinding and polishing.Several problems were exposed to the application process of the resin grinding wheel such as low efficiency,easy to wear and tear,great smell and pollution,grinding wheel fragmentation and other issues.To solve the above problems,the brazing technology was used to firmly weld the diamonds on the steel substrate surface to produce the tools for grinding and polishing high-strength steel.The efficient grinding and polishing of high-strength steel was expected to achieve by using brazing diamond tools for combined advantages of high abrasive bond strength,high sharpness,good heat dissipation.The main creative contents of this paper are as follows:(1)In order to obtain the effect of good grit outcrops and uniform thickness about the brazing solder layer,the process concept of brazing diamond with the large-grained alloy was put forward,and a geometric model was established.The relationship equations of diamond and large-grained alloys based on optimal brazing effect were obtained,and the practical solutions based on solder wetting angle have gotten.A new distribution process of abrasive and large-grained alloy was determined based on above research.A reasonable brazed geometr ic model of the diamond and the filler alloy was built,and the formula for matching the size of the diamond and f iller alloy with desired brazing effects was obtained.Calculated by the formula,the optimal particle size of diamond brazing by 50 mesh particle size spherical particles Ni-Cr alloy brazing solder is 60 meshes.The result of brazing tests shows that good climbing effect along the diamond being observed,the average embedding height of the alloy is about 30% of the diamond grit.(2)The disc matrix was structured designed based on the resin grinding wheel wear characteristics,and the matrix structural dimension scope is obtained.On this basis,the disc matrix machining process is determined.By the process of stamping and the outer chamfering,the matrix size precision is effectively ensured.(3)The grit topography distribution mechanism of the grinding disc was studied,the regionalizing topography optimization concept was proposed basing on grinding and polishing conditions.The grit distribution was determined,which was characterized by the slope of disc on uniform distribution or points(clusters)orderly,the outer edge of disc on close-packed uniform distribution,the flat arranged on phyllotaxis clusters distribution.The laser drilling process ensures the accuracy of the fabrics;the flexibility mask material realizes the plane and the arc surface effective arrangement.(4)The brazed diamond discs were obtained by the above researches,which are used for grinding and polishing AH36 steel.Compared with the same specifications conventional resin grinding wheel,the grinding and polishing average efficiency of the brazed diamond discs is 40% higher,grinding and polishing life is more than 11 times the resin grinding wheel.Abrasive wear debris morphology of state and comparative analysis showed that the brazing diamond disc single grain removal capacity,grinding temperature below the resin grinding wheel,is not easy to form a molten pellets significantly reduces the spark generation.(5)The elastic vibration isolator was designed to reduce the effects of vibration.The damping structure disc was designed based on the principles of damping vibration and noise reduction of freedom damped structure.Noise and vibration test results showed that,compared to the resin grinding wheel,the noise value of 100 mm disc which not attached vibration isolator is 31.6% higher,the disc with a vibration isolator is 4% higher.Freedom damping disc grinding and polishing vibration and noise values of 31.3% and 7.8% lower respectively than the resin grinding wheel.
