Green and efficient development and utilization of CO2 will help alleviate the“greenhouse effect”and turn waste into treasure, which exhibit important theoretical and practical significance.Helical-metal complexes?helicates?,particularly lanthanide helicates, have received considerable attention as biomimetic models because of their fascinating structures and various potential applications in the fields of optics, electricity, magnetism, biomedicine, and catalysis.Therefore,multi-functional rare earth polynuclear complex system with catalysis and luminescence are developed to further study the reaction mechanism and synergistic catalysis of multi-metal systems, explore the structure-activity relationship, and optimize high-performance chemical immobilization and conversion systems. This contributes to a deep understanding of the catalytic mechanism of rare earths and their multinuclear systems, and provides important experimental and theoretical basis for the design of excellent CO2 chemical fixation and conversion systems.Driven by the ultimate goal of mimicking nature,we used lanthanide helicates as templates to construct novel biomimetic rare-earth complexes for catalytic, luminescence, and other versatile applications. It is mainly divided into the following six parts:?1?This review mainly focuses on two parts:the use of carbon dioxide resources and the research status of rare earth biomimetic helicates complexes.?2?Heterometallic helicates featuring multiple Zn-Ln units have been synthesized for the first time using a"helical"ligand H3L1 and their catalytic applications in the cycloaddition of CO2 and epoxides to obtain cyclic carbonates under ambient conditions also been studied.?3?Heterometallic helicate cages have been synthesized using a"banana-shaped"ligand H2L2for the first time and their size-selectivity catalytic applications in the cycloaddition of CO2 and epoxides to obtain cyclic carbonates under mild conditions also been studied.?4?Asymmetric heterometallic helicate have been synthesized using an asymmetric ligand H2L3 for the first time and their catalytic applications in the cycloaddition of CO2 and epoxides to obtain cyclic carbonates under mild conditions also been studied.?5?A series of hexanuclear circular meso helicate and heptanuclear circular meso helicate have been synthesized using two flexible hydrazide ligands H3L4 and H3L5 for the first time and their catalytic applications in the cycloaddition of CO2 and epoxides to obtain cyclic carbonates under mild conditions also been studied.?6?Full text summary.
