It is necessary to quantitatively describe the effect of the thermal plume on the unsteady airflows within the cabin.Especially on the role of thermal plume impact on large-scale circulation,which is important to optimize air distribution and improve the environment quality in cabin.In this study,an experimental measurement system is built for the passenger cabin.The thermal turbulence measurement,the large-scale circulation measurement and the evaluation of different airflow measurement are systematically carried out,which lay a foundation for further designing a healthy,thermally comfortable and energy-efficient environmental control system(ECS).The innovation points of this research can be concluded as:The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of the heat dissipation of thermal manikins on the flow field in a seven-row cabin mockup that was fully occupied by thermal manikins.Temperature data from the cabin mockup,as measured by thermocouples,were analyzed using statistical methods for elucidation of the turbulence characteristics of the thermal plumes of manikins.The velocity was measured by ultrasonic anemometers(UA).Then,this study analyzed the power spectrum of the velocity fluctuation signal.The power spectrum is illustrated by energy transfer mechanism of large scale circulation in cabin mockup.The results have contributed to the understanding of role of thermal plum impact on the large scale circulation in the cabin.The large-scale flow impact on the air quality also investigate,the contaminant distribution was measured by tracer gas in the cabin.The two large scale circulation interactions made the air flow mixing sufficient.The large scale circulation can cause heat accumulation in cabin under mixing ventilation,and flow field affected by large scale circulation.By comparing the five kinds of different air distribution system,evaluate the performance of different air distribution of the aircraft cabin.The related experimental research was conducted to obtain the local mean air age,temperature field and airflow under different air distribution systems by using trace gas,thermocouples,and ultrasonic anemometer measurement system.The research mainly led to following conclusions: using the high-frequency thermocouple to obtain thermal turbulence data,so as to analyze the thermal plume character in the complex environment.The thermal plume of thigh full development will affect the thermal plume of the torso.The large-scale circulation irregularities are caused by the jet and the thermal plume interactions in the cabin.Due to the disturbance of the thermal plume,the circulation energy is increased in the cabin.The effect of thermal plume on the large-scale circulation is mainly reflected at the bottom of the circulation region.The evaluation system of ventilation effect of different airflow was established in aircraft cabin environment.Under mixed ventilation,the large scale circulation can enhance heat transfer efferent.Therefore,using the multiple air supply inlets can increase the velocity uniformity.The heat removal efficiency is high under displacement ventilation,but the temperature distribution is nonuniform.
