Ideological and political quality,as the combination of cognition,emotion,consciousness and behavior,is the way of thinking and behavior criterion which the individual lived in social system should have.It is the pursuit of ideological and political education that is the trinity of family,school and society.However,the study on this field is incomplete for a long time.The researches emphasis on macroscopic,group and qualitative study,rather than microscopic,individual and quantitative ones.Based on reviewing literature and theories,not only referenced the theory of psychological development,but also used empirical approach and research paradigm of tracking analyst in both aspects of stage and continuity.For investigating the characteristic and influence factors of development trend of individual ideological and political quality and coming up with education measures,developed the Questionnaire of Developmental Level of Individual Ideological and Political Quality by interviewing and open-ended questionnaire.The questionnaire was used to investigate the development status of ideological and political quality including five stages of individual:pre-school,elementary school,middle school,high school and university.Through deta collecting and statistical analysis,such as variance analysis,regression analysis and latent variable growth model,we found that:Firstly,the individual ideological and political quality has similar structures in different age stages.It includes three dimensions: scientific thinking,ethical behavior and ideals and faith.Particularly,each stage of the three dimensions includes different second-order sub factors,in other words,there are different content and representation of ideological and political quality in different age stages.And it is closely related to individual personality,cognition and the level of socialization,with the characteristics that combines phased and continuity.Secondly,the holistic developmental level of individual ideological and political quality varies with age increasing.For children,admission obviously promotes the development of ideological and political quality.After a smooth transition from the stage of primary school to middle school,the developmental level rises from the stage of middle school to high school,and then declines faintly(statistical significantly)from the stage of high school to university.It is more complex that the trend of change in each dimensionality.Thirdly,the subjuects in different groups of demographic variable have differences on the levels,trends and rage of change of development of ideological and political quality among each stage.The development of ideological and political quality is affected by family enverionment,shcool enverionment and social enverionment which individual lived in.Fourthly,it should follow the law of individual mental development to cultivate ideological and political quality.Based on the guidance of theories of personality development,cognitive development and socialization,it also should be cultivated through the trinity of family,school and society.
