The relationship between leadership and creativity is an important hot spot and trend in current and future research.With the development of robot and artificial intelligence technology,the traditional repetitive work will be replaced by the machine.People will be liberated from the simple repetitive work,instead of engaging in a relatively complex and creative work.In this context,it is very important to study the mechanism of creativity,especially the role of leadership.Scholars should be at the forefront of the times,to solve the current and future problem of relationship between leadership and creativity,therefore this study focus on leadership and creativity.Through in-depth analysis of the mechanism of the interactional influence between leadership and creativity,we build a multilevel analysis model for explanation and elaboration on the influence of creative mechanism and relationship between individual and team leadership.The research of this paper is based on the research of the dyadic relationship between leadership and individual staff in the R&D team.A total of 63 strategic emerging companies in Changchun Jilin province,were surveyed with a total of more than 63 leaders and 428 subordinatesby multi source time-lagged model designedquestionnaires.The data analysis method used in this paper is the latest multilevel SEM model(MSEM),which can analyze the complex multilevel effect well.For the validity and reliability of the questionnaire,we used confirmatory factor analysis(CFA),Cronbach’s alpha coefficient method,SFL index and the average variance extracted method(AVE)to test the validity and reliability of the questionnaires.To analyse sequentially mediated effect,this paper adopts the Bootstrapping method combined with Bayesian formula and Markov chain Monte Carlo method(MCMC),this method can better analysis sequentialmediating effect.The mulitlevel method(MLM)and graphical method are used in this paper to test the moderating effects.The application of these methods can guarantee the reliability of the research.The main findings of this paper are to prove that the leader member exchange(LMX)and team psychological security play an intermediary role in the relationship between authentic leadership and employee’s theriving at work.Furthermore,the workpaperalso found that the previous two constructs also mediate the relationship between authentic leadership and individual creativity.This paper also found that the moderating role of the authentic leadership,that is,when the authentic leadership is in a higher level,the indirect effect between LMX and individual creativity through the thriving at work will be stronger.At the same time,the author finds that the sense of psychological security plays a mediating role in the relationship between team authentic leadership and team creativiy.But for the people who often think that the individual creativity will naturally form the team creativity cognition,this article also proposed own viewpoint.Based on the empirical analysis,we find that the relationship between individual creativity and team creativity is not necessarily significant.To sum up,this paper has established a multilevel mechanism of the influence of authentic leadership on creativity.The main contribution and value of this paper is that we provide three new multilevel mechanisms for the current research on the relationship between leadership and creativity.Following these three mechanisms: F irst,the leader who would like to build their own sincere authentic leadership should go through the development and maintenance of dyadicexchange relationship with subordinates(LMX)to establish the leadership;Secondly,in order to motivate the team mates’ creativity,leaders should let team members make sense team psychological safety,which enhance the individuals’ thriving at work,so as to effectively stimulate the creativity of teammates;Finally,leaders need to actively promote leadership through sincerely optimizing the relationship between LMX and prosperity,so as to motivate therole of the individual and team creativity.
