Yunnan Province,with a special resource endowment situation and complex grain production conditions,is located in the border area at southwest of China.The plain arable land,which is suitable for grain production,only accounts for a small part of Yunnan ’ s arable land and are mostly distributed in central,western and eastern regions.Kunming and Chu’ xiong,the representatives of central region,western area of Dali and Bao’shan,the representatives of west region,Qu’jing,the representatives of east region,all possess high efficiency of food production,but only a small proportion of land is used for food crops.Northeast region(Zhao’tong)and Northwest region(L’ijiang,Di’qing and Nu’jiang)are typical of high-elevation barren land with low food production efficiency where plants a single variety of grain and gain low yields.Southeast region(Yu’xi,Wen’shan),western region(De’hong,Lin’cang)and southern region(Pu’er,Hong’he,Xi’shuangbanna)have a typical tropical and subtropical climate,the sufficient rainfall and high temperature here makes it more profitable to plant cash crops than grains for peasants,so grain production area in these regions continues to be squeezed by cash crops.Based on the above analysis,under the national food security strategy:"storing food in farmland,managing it with technology",this text thinks that the analysis of grain production efficiency of Yunnan province has important practical significance.The main contents are as follows:First,the analysis of the food production efficiency in Yunnan.This part uses DEA model of non-radial SBM to figure out Yunnan ’ s grain production efficiency then compare it with other provinces ’ grain production efficiency.Second,the analysis of total factor productivity of Yunnan’ s grain production efficiency.This part uses DEA-Malmquist productivity index to calculate and analysis Yunnan ’ s grain production scale efficiency,pure technical efficiency,technical efficiency.Third,the analysis of the combined effect of the space efficiency of grain production in Yunnan Province by using DEA-Moran’s I index.By using spatial econometric models,we can analysis the food productivity spatial convergence and functional division of all cities and areas of Yunnan.Fourth,the analysis of food production and eco-efficiency in Yunnan.Through the establishment of food production environment DEA window model,the environmental efficiency of grain production in Yunnan were measured and analyzed.Fifth,the influencing factors analysis of food productivity of Yunnan.Through the establishment of Tobit regression model estimation,this part aim to identify significant influencing factors of food productivity of Yunnan then find efficient ways and approaches to enhance Yunnan’ s grain production efficiency from the perspective of factor inputs.Through data analysis and model estimation,the main conclusions are as follows:First,the efficiency of grain production in Yunnan province is far lower than most provinces of the country and shows the lack of efficiency in grain production,so Yunnan would need to learn experience from provinces like Jilin and Shanghai to enhance it.Second,in the total factor productivity growth of Yunnan grain production,the technological progress brings greater growth than the technical efficiency.That is to say Food production technology of Yunnan province has become the main source of total factor productivity growth in Yunnan province,showing that the increasing of grain production in Yunnan province attaches great importance to the technological progress,which also means technologies have been the main ways to increase food production in Yunnan and this varies between regions.Third,grain production efficiency of clusters spread from the provincial capital city,Kunming to the edge area,from the han nationality area to the minority nationalities areas,which portrays a significant clustering phenomenon.Fourth,in northern regions,where mainly consists of alpine plateau,grain production environmental efficiency is higher.since main factors of production such as chemical fertilizers,pesticides,machinery investment is less,so there is less than expected output(carbon emissions);on the other hand,low environmental efficiency in southern regions,where are mostly tropical and subtropical climate,is contributed by strong demand for fertilizers,pesticides,food production which make the expected output of grain production(carbon emissions)higher.Fifth,the sown area of grain and the total machinery power used for food production has significant negative correlation relationship with the grain production efficiency,however,the numbers of grain production workers shows a significant positive one,and the amount of fertilizer used in grain production shows no significant correlation.Finally,according to the research conclusion,policy Suggestions are put forward.
