Some elicitors have dual-ability of activating defense response and promoting plant growth,which play important roles in agricultural safety production.So far there are many literatures about the molecular mechanism for elicitor activating defense response,which provide important theoretical guidance for scientific application,however,the molecular mechanism of promoting plant growth by protein elicitor is quite unclear in large degree.MoHrip2 is a novel protein elicitor isolated from Magnaporthe oryzae by our group with the function of inducing plant immunity and enhancing plant systemic resistance.To further research the biological function as well as mechanism of MoHrip2,MoHrip2 was cloned into the binary vector pCAMBI1302 and transformed into Agrobacterium GV3101,then was transformed into wild-type(Wt)Arabidopsis by the Agrobacterium-mediated flower dip method.The phenotypic defferences of three single insertion sites MoHrip2 overexpression transgenic lines and Wt Arabidopsis were analyzed,and found that MoHrip2 can short the germination time and increase germination rate of Arabidopsis seed,increase fresh weights of plant,short the bolting time and increase the plant heights,which indicated MoHrip2 has the function of promoting plant growth.To reveal the mechanism of MoHrip2 promoting plant growth,the proteomics of MoHrip2 transgenic lines and Wt Arabidopsis were analyzed by iTRAQ technology,found 11 significant change proteins up-regulation and 28 significant change proteins down-regulation.Go analysis and KEGG analysis found change proteins mainly involved in the Pathway of carbon metabolism,biosynthesis of amino acids,starch and sucrose metabolism,photosynthesis-antenna proteins,oxidative-phosphorylation and glycolysis etc,specially affect the light reaction process of photosynthesis,which may be one of the important pathway for MoHrip2 promoting plant growth.This study has provided scientific proof for revealing the molecular mechanism of protein elicitor MoHrip2 promoting plant growth,as well as enriched our understanding on the molecular mechanism of protein elicitor has the dual-activity of promoting plant growth and enhancing plant disease-resistance.
