This study aims to study the mechanism of the influence of photovoltaic power station on the plants inside, and provide basic theoretical results to plant cultivation in bare areas between photovoltaic panels, plants allelopathy, environmental stress on plants and vegetation restoration and reconstruction in photovoltaic power station. In this study,Stellera chamaejasme,Potentilla acaulis,Agropyron cristatum and Stipa krylovii are used as donors, and Medicago sativa(Leguminosae),Elymus dahuricus(Gramineae)and Cichorium intybus(Compositae)are used as receptors, which are determined by water extraction,petri-dish,and soil culture. We measure and analyze the allelopathic effects of donor plants living in the photovoltaic and non-photovoltaic areas to seed germination, seedling growth and seedling physiology of recipient plants. Finally,we use GC-MS analysis to isolate and identify the allelopthic components of Stellera chamaejasme,Potentilla acaulis,Agropyron cristatum and Stipa krylovii, thus verify the allelopathy effects of photovoltaic power station. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)A relative allelopathic strength formula this study proposed can quantize the allelopathic strength between different donor and receptor plants in order to compare strength of allelopathy of the donor plants to the recipient plants.(2)The relative allelopathic strength values of Agropyron cristatum,Stipa krylovii,Stellera chamaejasme and Potentilla acaulis are 0.097,-0.057,-0.053 and-0.033,respectively.The photovoltaic power station enhances the allelopathic effect of Agropyron cristatum, and weakens the allelopathic effect of Stipa krylovii,Stellera chamaejasme and Potentilla acaulis. The intensity order of allelopathic stress by photovoltaic power station for donor plants is:Agropyron cristatum>Stipa krylovii>Stellera chamaejasme>Potentilla acaulis. The absolute values of Agropyron cristatum and Stipa krylovii are larger than Stellera chamaejasme and Potentilla acaulis, thus the photovoltaic power station has more impacts on plants with weak allelopathic senses.(3)The relative allelopathic strength values of Medicago sativa,Elymus dahuricus and Cichorium intybus affected by Agropyron cristatum,Stipa krylovii,Stellera chamaejasme and Potentilla acaulis are-0.033,-0.018 and 0.015,respectively.The allelopathic effects on Medicago sativa and Elymus dahuricus are weakened, while Cichorium intybus is enhanced. The order of the allelopathic stress of Medicago sativa,Elymus dahuricus and Cichorium intybus affected by four donor plants in photovoltaic power satation is:Medicago sativa>Elymus dahuricus>Cichorium intybus. The allelopathic effects of donor plants linvig in photovoltaic power satation on Medicago sativa are significantly weakened, therefore, the best cultivation plant for bare areas between photovoltaic panels is Medicago sativa.(4)The relative allelopathic strength values of seed germination, seedling growth and seedling physiology are-0.059,0.025 and 0.0008,respectively.Donor plants in photovoltaic power station have a weakened effect on the seed germination of the recipient, and have an enhanced effect on seedling growth and seedling physiology, therefore, the seedlings are the best for cultivation in bare areas between photovoltaic panels to improved the survival rate of plants.(5)The allelochemicals identified by four kinds of donor plants in the photovoltaic and non-photovoltaic areas include benzoic acid, phenylacetic acid, cinnamic acid,2,6-di-tert-butylphenol,precocene ?,propanoic acid, butyric acid, octane and naphthyridine, etc. The composition and content of these allelochemicals in the same plant are different between photovoltaic and non-photovoltaic areas, and the content ratios of alkaloids, phenols, terpenes and alkynes are also different. Thus, the photovoltaic power station has changed both the type and content of allelochemicals in plants inside.(6)The allelopathic effects of Agropyron cristatum,Stellera chamaejasme,Potentilla acaulis and Stipa krylovii living in the the photovoltaic power station on RI of the POD,SOD,CAT and chlorophyll content of Medicago sativa,Elymus dahuricus and Cichorium intybus are conceived as weakened inhibition and enhanced promotion.(7)Within the concentration of 25?125 g·L-1,,the water extracts of Metdicago sativa,Elymus dahuricus and Cichorium intybus living in the photovoltaic and non-photovoltaic areas have inhibiting effects(synthetical allelopathic effect indexs are negative)for the seed germination, seedling growth and seedling physiology of Agropyron cristatum,Stellera chamaejasme,Potentilla acaulis and Stipa krylovii.
