Comparative Study Of Ceramic Industrial Clusters' Competitiveness Evaluation

The rapid spread of economic globalization makes the factors of production redistribute in the worldwide and the world increasingly showing a relatively flat structure.The role should not be underestimated that the window area represented industrial clusters with local characteristics played in the global economy.Due to its integration form,the industry clusters have a powerful internal competitiveness,and therefore it has a huge advantage in market competition of all fields of the world.Chinese ceramics industry has developed with an extraordinary speed from the 1980s,while China building ceramic products in global competition still lack strong competitive advantage.The papers,based on the building ceramic industry cluster,aim to analyze the sources of competitiveness of the Chinese ceramic industry cluster.The main contents are as follows:Using the location quotient method,building ceramic industry cluster has been identified in Foshan City(Guangdong Province),Zibo City(Shandong Province),Jinjiang City(Fujian,Province),Jiajiang City(SichuanProvince),and we can use the scale of regional production and specialization of production to test the identification conclusions what were drawed by applying Location Quotient Method on China ceramics industry cluster phenomenon.At first,multiple indicators affecting the competitiveness of ceramic industry cluster should be identified on the basis of literature research and interviews,and then based on a great deal of questionnaire survey and analysis of data,the primary index system should be amended and the index weight of various influencing factors should be determined.The ranking order which is drawed by evaluating the competitiveness of four ceramic industry cluster is as follows:Foshan City(Guangdong Province),Zibo City(Shandong Province),Jinjiang City(Fujian Province),Jiajiang City(Sichuan Province).Finally,the paper elaborates how to cultivate the competitiveness.of ceramic cluster.The enterprise aspect,should strengthen the innovation of products and systems,at the same time to consider the impact on the environment,to achieve the harmonious between development and environment,so as to achieve the sustainable development;The government aspect,as a macro,should support and encourage the ceramic cluster's development on policies and create a larger supportive environment including nature environment and economic environment by taking advantage of their convenience;industry associations,which consist of the masses so that can be more efficient than the governments,should vigorously promote the development of industry associations.This study based on ceramic industry cluster,and some ceramic industries which are from Foshan(Guangdong Provence),Jinjiang(Fujian Provence),Zibo(Shandong Provence)and Jiajiang(Sichuan Provence)are chosen as our research samples.Through the theoretical analysis and empirical test we have made some theoretical and practical conclusions.However,as a result of the theories' complex in the field of industrial cluster,the limitations of the research samples and the author's abilities to study,inadequacies are inevitable and remain to perfect further in the follow-up research.
