Currently,most cities in China are on the way of urbanization in a highly-motivated speed.How to let this process be full of goodness but also quickness has been concerned widely in societies.In order to solve those unavoidable problems in the process of urbanization,the method of using a concept based on ecology has been proposed,which refers that:through constructing an ecological security pattern and establishing a harmonious relation between people and land,it requires us to accord the concept of suiting development to the local conditions,properly using lands,and suitably developing,furthermore,it also requires us to scientifically setting urban development mode and scale.In practice,the planning in the new area has a better basis of ecological security pattern,after establishing this setup-including the analysis mode of population capacity,which might better solve the disadvantage on traditional population capacity research mode that merely focuses on the quantity but would be difficult to guide space management,this would lead to scientifically plan and build the new area.Therefore,the research work on the population capacity in the ecological new city that is based on the ecological security pattern would turn out to be an important value and meaning in theory and practice.After retrieving,collecting and generalizing the documentation from home and abroad,this paper proposes the analysis mode on population capacity,which is based on ecological security pattern,and uses relative theories on ecological urban,population capacity,ecological security pattern,and mixed urban ecological system,by combining with development planning and research on new ecological urban it proposes this population capacity analysis mode,and conducts empirical research.This paper comprises the following five relevant research work:firstly,it reviews and evaluates the ecological security pattern,population capacity,scale prognosis and other research work,and proposes that ecological security pattern analysis and proper population capacity ought to be concerned as the first step and basic work when processing planning.Secondly,it borrows the theory of 'the balance of supply-demand,the balance of dynamic-prevention',and proposes the population capacity analysis mode which is based on the ecological security pattern,this makes up the lack of research on single ecological safe setup and population scale.Thirdly,adopting mathematical reasoning method,in theory,the society-economy-nature in urban complex ecosystem of the hierarchy,provides a theoretical basis for the construction of the urban complex ecosystem.Fourth,to take the lead in transformation of the country on the southeast coast,intensive and economical use of land for the strategic direction,select China's southeast coastal areas of Ningbo(Beilun)seaside city as a typical case,to carry out the comprehensive analysis of the ecological security pattern.Fifth,Ecological security pattern index is based on analysis of multiple scenarios of Ningbo,coastal city population capacity,and distribution of the population capacity of the grid space,and provide guidelines for planning and management to carry out new exploration of the eco-town planning methods.The basic structure of this paper is composed of seven chapters with three parts.The first part is the basis of the theoretical one,which is composed by the first and the second chapters.The first is the introduction,research background,meaning and structure of the thesis framework described;Chapter ? summarizes the new stage of development and characteristics of reflection on the existing New Planning Practice,and starting from the basic theory of the ecological security pattern,the design population capacity and its spatial distribution based on ecological security pattern analysis model,laid the theoretical foundation for empirical research.The second part is the major empirical part,which is composed by the third chapter,Chapters ? and ?.Chapter three is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the study area,Ningbo(Beilun)Current Conditions,as well as planning and positioning of the coastal city;Chapter four starts from ecological security pattern analysis to focus on the principles of ecological sensitivity analysis which is based on the shortest path ecological network analysis,evaluation of resources and environment carrying capacity assessment and the economic and social carrying capacity,and then a comprehensive study of the ecological space of Ningbo,coastal city;Chapter ? based on scenario analysis combined with geographic information systems(GIS)technology to analyze a coastal city in the three scenarios ecological security pattern,and to carry out low,intermediate and high ecological security pattern scenario analysis and forecasting the population capacity;Chapter ? of the application grid analysis technique is proposed to protect the integrity of landscape ecological pattern,the eco-industrial structure of the Sunshine City Interactive build a multi-composite,land use structure of complex spatial planning program,the final population capacity of the grid the spatial distribution of the security pattern.The third part is about the summary,consisting of Chapter ?.Chapter ? summarizes the main conclusions of the study and innovation,and proposes theafterward prospective.
