The previous studies of BIM technology adoption and innovation support show that it has become the focus that how to rely on BIM technology to improve the efficiency of production and management of construction in order to realize the continuous improvement of the construction project management performance.The essence of researches on new technology adoption promotion and innovation mechanism is innovation diffusion.As the similar pathway of the other industry information technology researches,the initial stage of BIM technology adoption and innovation support mechanism is always the forefront of information technology adoption research in this area under the guidance of innovation diffusion theory.Technology Organization Enviroment theory(TOE)is regarded as the core of the research methods in this study.From the view of innovation diffusion theory,TOE theory can survey and discriminate the main impact factors of new technology adoption,so this dissertation established the implementation pathway of new technology adoption and promotion based on TOE theory.However,the adoption of BIM technology in China construction industry is running into bottleneck at present.In recent years,BIM technology adoption and promotion has failed to score the remarkable achievement.Compareed with the process of BIM technology adoption in the other countries,it failed to achieve desired results of BIM technology promotion and the desired goal of the continuous improvement of construction project management performance even though the government has provided the effective policy supports at the levels of nation and industry.If we search to the bottom of these problem,we found that the studies of BIM technology adoption and promotion in domestic construction industry and its support to construction management innovation behavior is relatively lack.The present studies focus on BIM technology application prospect mostly,but the researches of BIM technology adoption and promotion are rarely involved.So,he researches of BIM technology innovation which support the construction management innovation behavior is urgently explored.Therefore,how to analyse the key impact factors of BIM technology adoption in China’s construction industry and exploring the relationship between BIM technology innovation behavior and China’s construction industry management innovation,and finding how BIM technology adoption and innovation impact China’s construction industry have become the key points of this study..Based on the innovation diffusion theory and TOE theory,this dissertation proposed BIM technology adoption innovation and the implement pathway for BIM technology.The main works are following:1.From the perspective of innovation diffusion theory and TOE theory,this study analysed the impact factors of BIM technology adoption in China’s construction industry.According to the previous model of information technology adoption and the mainstream trend,the study needs to verify the impact factors at technology level,organization level and environment level in BIM technology adoption model by following the logic rule of practice-theory and practice.In this study,the data of impact factors of BIM technology adoption were collected and the quality of the data were verified.2.Based on the existing conclusion of BIM technology adoption in China’s construction industry and present issues,this disseratation brought in intrinsic motivation as a interventing variable in term of field dynamic theory and cognitive evaluation theory in order to study the different dimensions of BIM technology innovation behavior in China’s construction industry management and verify the relationship among them..3.Combining the conclusion above,this dissertation summarized the implement pathway of BIM technology adoption in China’s construction industry as well as the effects of the application of BIM technology innovation in China’s construction industry.The theoretical contribution of this research is mainly manifested in the following three aspects.First,it revealed the key impact factors and the relationship between BIM adoption and China’s construction industry as well as discriminated the key promoting factors and obstructive factors.Second,it clarified the relationship between BIM technology innovation support and the construction management innovation behavior.Meanwhile,it integrated field dynamic theory and social cognitive theory to establish the analysis framework of BIM innovation support,intrinsic motivation and construction management innovation behavior.Third,through the questionnaire survey method to improve the qualitative analysis research paradigm.This dissertation ensured the reliability of data acquisition by determining sample selection criteria and pre-testing the contents of the questionnaire,which made the conclusions based on the analysis of reliable qualitative materials accurately reflect the current application status of BIM technology in construction projects,and effectively guide practices.Based on the above research conclusions,this dissertation proposed the implications of the adoption of the BIM technology path in China’s construction industry and the impact of BIM technology innovation applications on the innovation role of the construction industry.
