| On the basis of the three industrial revolutions characterized by mechanization,electrification,and informatization,the development trend of intelligence has become increasingly significant.Human society has been significantly affected by the trend of intelligence in all aspects of social life,manufacturing,and especially in the field of engineering.Engineers are faced with completely different working scenarios from traditional engineering environments.In an intelligent environment,features such as software-hardware integration,deep integration of computing and engineering are becoming increasingly important.Countries around the world,including Germany,the United States,China and other countries,have issued a series of policies and plans at the macro-strategic level,emphasizing the crucial role of computing in various fields such as national strategy,industrial development and personnel training.Facing the evolution of the engineering environment and engineering technology,the requirements for engineers’ competence in the intelligent environment have also changed systematically.And the critical role of computing competence has become increasingly prominent.As a result,new requirements have been put forward for computing competence in the training of engineers and engineering education model.The computing competence training of engineering and technological talents urgently needs further attention.This research focuses on "How to systematically redefine,plan,cultivate and improve the computing competence training of engineers in intelligent environments in higher education institutions? How to systematically establish computing competence training models and utilise them to cultivate the competence of engineers in intelligent environments? " This core proposition carries out three interlocking sub-researches:(1)What is the conceptual connotation and core elements of computing competence in an intelligent environment;(2)How do universities at home and abroad cultivating computing competence at undergraduate engineering education?;(3)How to systematically build and utilise the computing competence training model embedded in undergraduate engineering education.First of all,although there has been a basic consensus on the importance of computing under the intelligent trend,there is no systematic and in-depth understanding of the conceptual connotation and core elements of computing competence from the perspective of engineers training.This study draws on the theoretical perspective of the engineering body of knowledge,in-depth understanding of the connotation of computing competence from the aspects of knowledge,skills,attitudes,etc.,and forms a basic understanding of computing competence through literature review.Combined such methods,this research intends to refine the core elements of computing competence,form a systematic and in-depth understanding of the meaning and elements of computing competence,and also provide goals for the training of computing competence in the training of engineers under the intelligent trend.Secondly,this study selects typical cases from universities at home and abroad to deeply explore the key dimensions of computing competence training in current undergraduate engineering education.Based on the literature review and refining the dimensions of computing competence training,this research carries out case studies of typical engineering majors at home and abroad,and uses content analysis to refine the key dimensions of computing competence training in undergraduate engineering education.This research forms a systematic and in-depth understanding of computing competence training at undergraduate engineering education,and also puts forward a more specific and intuitive understanding of the connection between the computing competence training model and the engineering education system.Thirdly,based on the core elements of computing competence and the key dimensions of the cultivation of computing competence in undergraduate engineering education,this research proposes a model of computing competence training embedded in undergraduate engineering education.For the improvement of computing competence of non-computer major engineering students at the undergraduate level,this research clarifies the goals of computing competence training,refines the key points of computing competence training mode from the three levels of curriculum design,teaching operation,management and control,and builds three typical models of computing competence training embedded in undergraduate engineering education,as well as the operation strategy and implementation path of the model are discussed in depth.This research emphasizes that based on the analysis of the characteristics of intelligent trend,the computing competence training model is not static,but multi-component,open and flexible,and constantly developed and improved.The main innovations of this research are: one is to refine the concept definition,connotation and core elements of the computing competence of engineers under the intelligent trend,which enriches and improves the theoretical system of computing competence;the second is a comprehensive analysis based on the training goal of computing competence builds a computing competence training model embedded in undergraduate engineering education;third,for the construction of computing competence training model,puts forward its operation strategy and implementation path in undergraduate engineering education.Combined with the actual situation in China,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are put forward for the implementation and development of the computing competence training model,which provides a reference for the cultivation and improvement of the computing competence of engineering and scientific talents in China. |
