Hydrogen fuel,regarded by many countries,organizations and academic institutions,is one of the best alternatives to fossil fuels.Developed countries such as the United States,Japan,and Germany have made the development of hydrogen energy as the national energy strategy and formulated development plans.Meanwhile,our government has also introduced a series of policies to guide and encourage the development of the hydrogen fuel industry,which has achieved certain progress,but its overall development lags behind the developed countries.On the one hand,there are many technologies related to the hydrogen fuel industry.Considering the input-output ratio and timeline,which technologies should be prioritized for development and improvement is the content of our research.On the other hand,the foundation for the development of the hydrogen fuel industry is the development of hydrogen fuel infrastructure,whose construction is long period and expensive,therefore,how to arrange the layout of the infrastructure economically and make it environmentally friendly is the focus of our research.Based on the demand generated by the market diffusion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles,our research takes the hydrogen fuel infrastructure as the object and makes the long-term planning for the hydrogen fuel infrastructure,which will contribute to the steady development of hydrogen fuel industry.Taking the hydrogen fuel infrastructure as the object and considering the hydrogen fuel demand generated by the market diffusion of the hydrogen fuel vehicle,our research aims to optimize the long-term planning for the hydrogen fuel infrastructure.Firstly,this study develops an integration optimization model for the multi-period refueling station location.More specifically,it uses the generalized Bass diffusion model to predict the market diffusion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles,and then integrates the flow interception model to develop a phased location plan for the hydrogen refueling station,which is solved by the two greedy algorithms as a result of the phased location plan for hydrogen refueling station.Secondly,our study considers the hydrogen fuel demand generated by the market diffusion of the hydrogen fuel vehicles,establishes a multi-period hydrogen fuel supply chain programming model,and solves the model with the improved branch and bound algorithm to obtain the global optimal solution.Finally,our study develops a multi-period multi-objective hydrogen fuel supply chain programming model.With the multi-period hydrogen fuel supply chain programming model as the basis,and taking the carbon dioxide generated by the hydrogen fuel supply chain as the second objective,we solve the multi-objective programming model efficiently by using the augmented -constraint and the TOPSIS method so as to obtain the optimal plan for the multi-period multi-objective planning of the hydrogen fuel supply chain.We apply the single-objective and multiobjective programming models for Beijing,respectively,and obtain the optimal decision for Beijing hydrogen fuel supply chain on the strategic and operational levels realizing the economic,and environmental goals.By analyzing and comparing various costs and expenses,we obtain the managerial insights to support the long-term development of Beijing hydrogen fuel supply chain.Compared with the existing study,our study focuses on the methodology for the combination of the market diffusion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and the network planning of hydrogen fuel supply facilities.On the basis of the interaction between hydrogen station construction and hydrogen fuel vehicle sales,we propose the integrated optimization model to formulate a phased location plan for the hydrogen refueling station.Further,we provide a new method for the long-term location planning of energy refueling station.Considering the market diffusion of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicles,this study effectively estimates the hydrogen fuel demand generated by the market diffusion of hydrogen fuel vehicles,and then builds the planning model to formulate a more accurate long-term development plan for the hydrogen fuel supply chain,which can provide valuable managerial insights for the policymakers.We have carried out a case study based in Beijing,and have verified the validity of the model,which can be extended to the formulation of hydrogen fuel supply chain planning in other cities in China.
