| ObjectiveTo explore the application value of Chinese psychology combined with TCM vipassana cognitive therapy in psychological correction of criminals;To promote the official criminals from their own deeply understand the source of their own crimes,to correct the past wrong tendency of habits of external attribution and shirking the responsibility.In the educational practice of official criminals,the new method of personality correction and personality building with long-term effect is tested.To Make up for the problem of the lack of pertinence,depth and height in the past psychological correction work to official criminals.MethodsFirstly,literatures of the last 20 years has been searched and sorted in Chinese and English databases for key words such as spiritual cultivation,vipassana,mindfulness and meditation.The intercultural comparative analysis is conducted on the theories and techniques involved in Chinese psychology and TCM vipassana cognitive therapy by using multi-disciplinary theories and methods such as cultural psychology,religious psychology and hermeneutics.Researchers experience different methods of vipassana by themselves to deepen their understanding of Chinese psychology and TCM vipassana therapy.Social practice research on psychological correction in a prison of Guangdong province by using Chinese psychology combined with TCM vipassana therapy.Problems are found in the process of psychological correction of official criminals and qualitative interviews are conducted on representative official criminals at any time.ResultsAccording to the investigation of a prison in Guangdong province,the age of official criminals in the prison is relatively old.The average age of 204 official criminals under serving is 54.0 years old,among which 83.8%are between 40 and 65 years old.74%of official criminals have received higher education,while the proportion of postgraduates has reached a surprising 12.7%.Most were in leadership positions before the arrests.The original sentence was long,nearly 70%longer than five years.The corruption dominates the criminal types and accounts for 78.4%.If Combined punishment for several crimes in which corruption is the core crime are added,the proportion of corruption will reach 90.2%.Compared with the national norm group,the total score of SCL-90(170.59±79.29)and the scores of each factor in the official criminals group were significantly higher than that in the normal group.The mental health status of the official criminals group was significantly lower than that of the general population,especially the somatization,depression and compulsive state.In terms of personality,the Cartel 16PF Scale was used to measure,and it was found that the scores of various factors of personality traitsof official criminals were lower than those of the general population.The Internal External Control Scale was used to measure the attribution styles and found the obvious external attribution tendency of official criminals.Official criminals included in the social experiment were randomly assigned to two groups,one was the experimental group and the other was the control group.The experimental group accepted the intervention of Chinese psychology and TCM vipassana cognitive therapy,and the control group was blank.After the experiment,it was found that the total mean score of SCL-90 in the control group(1.94±0.60)was significantly changed compared with that in the experimental group(1.56±0.54).After the experiment,it was found that the skepticism,independence,tension,adaptability and anxiety,and mental health of 16PF in the control group and the experimental group were significantly changed.After the experiment,it was found that there was no significant change in the scores of Internal External Control Scale between the control group and the experimental group.For the experimental group,the total mean score of SCL-90 changed significantly comparing the before(1.89±0.68)and after(1.56±0.54)the experiment;the skepticism,independence,tension,adaptability and anxiety,and mental health in 16PF of were significantly changed before and after the experiment;there was no significant change in the scores of Internal External Control Scale before and after the experiment.For the control group,there was no significant change in the total mean score of SCL-90 before(1.89±0.74)and after(1.94±0.60)the experiment;the Intelligence and experimence in 16PF of were significantly changed before and after the experiment;there was no significant change in the scores of Internal External Control Scale before and after the experiment.Conclusion:Combining Chinese psychology and TCM vipassana cognitive therapy can obviously improve the mental health status of the official criminals,and can improve personality such as skepticism,independence,tension,adaptability and anxiety,and mental health of official criminals,and there was no significant change in the scores of Internal External Control Scale. |
