A Study On The Correlation Between TCM Physique And Common Menstrual Diseases In The Female Population Of Thai Nationality

Research background and purpose: The TCM constitution questionnaire is not only widely used in China,but also has been applied in many countries.It also has high integrity and reliability and validity.As a common disease in gynecological system,menstrual disease is associated with high morbidity in Thailand.As a result,we need to establish the TCM constitution questionnaire(Thai version)for assessing the distribution of constitution of Thai women,and analyze its correlation with menstrual disease.In that way,by providing the reference basis,we can help with menstrual disease prevention among Thai women,health care and other individualized diagnosis and treatment and health management,and ultimately provide new ideas for menstrual disease clinical diagnosis and treatment work.Methods:(1)Translate the TCM constitution questionnaire directly in accordance with standardized procedures developed by the Intercultural Foreign Language questionnaire,conduct a pre-survey on 60 Thai females in Thailand,revise based on the survey results,revise by the reverse translation,and assessing reliability and validity.At the same time,the Thai version of the TCM constitution health care plan was prepared as another important part of the TCM constitution questionnaire(Thai Version).(2)Using cross-sectional survey method,according to the population size of various regions in Thailand,stratified random sampling in proportion was used to carry out the research about 1,624 women of Thai nationality and menstrual age between 12-50 years old using the compiled the TCM constitution questionnaire(Thai version)to investigate and analyze the distribution pattern of Thai women's constitution type.Through independent sample t test,one-way analysis of variance and multiple linear regression analysis,to study the correlation between menstrual disease and constitution type and related influencing factors.Results:(1)A pre-survey of 60 Thai national women in Thailand was conducted.More than 90% of the respondents thought that the questionnaire was easy to understand,retaining 48 of the 60 entries in the original the TCM constitution questionnaire and amending 12 entries.(2)In terms of content validity evaluation,IOC is 0.89;in terms of reliability evaluation,the total Cronbach's ? coefficient of the TCM constitution questionnaire(Thai Version)is 0.910,and the Cronbach's ? coefficient of various constitutions is between 0.81-0.65 In terms of degree evaluation,the KMO statistic is 0.792,and the result of the Bartlett's test,X2 = 44010.935,P?0.001,should be used for factor analysis.17 common factors were extracted,and the contribution rate of the 17 common factors to the whole was 66.80%.(3)The Thai version of the TCM constitutional health care program is up to 90% understanding and interviewees believe that it is in line with daily habits and lifestyles and cultural styles.(4)The physical distribution of Thai national women was mainly yang deficiency(27.3%)and blood stasis(16.9%),and the least proportion was yin deficiency(2.7%).(5)Dysmenorrhea(72.2%)was the predominant menstrual disease in Thai national women,followed by less menstruation(40.9%),and the least proportion was late menstruation(2.7%).(6)According to the general data,the correlation analysis between physical fitness and menstrual disease,it was found that BMI,residential area,marriage status,occupation,sports status,and sleep status all have important effects on physical distribution and menstrual disease.The results of multiple linear regression analysis of general data and menstrual disease show that it has a greater effect on less menstrual periods,early menstruation and dysmenorrhea;the results of multiple linear regression analysis of general data and physical fitness show that it has effects on blood stasis,special-constitution and yang deficiency has a greater impact.(7)The results of Chi-Square test analysis of menstrual diseases and physical fitness showed that TCM physical fitness was related to the occurrence of eight types of menstrual diseases.Early menstruation is significantly affected by blood stasis,qi deficiency,and yin deficiency constitutions;late menstruation is significantly affected by yang deficiency,qi stagnation,and qi deficiency;menstruation at irregular intervals is significantly affected by blood stasis,qi stagnation,and qi deficiency;amenorrhoea is significantly affected by qi stagnation,phlegm dampness,and yin deficiency;hypomenorrhea is significantly affected by blood stasis,phlegm dampness,and qi deficiency;prolonged menstruation is significantly affected by blood stasis,qi deficiency,and damp heat;prolonged menstruation is significantly affected by qi deficiency,blood stasis,and damp heat;dysmenorrhea is significantly affected by blood stasis quality,phlegm dampness,qi stagnation,and the gentle nature will reduce the incidence of menstrual diseases.Conclusion:(1)The TCM constitution questionnaire(Thai Version)has good acceptability,and its reliability and validity evaluation has good performance in all aspects,providing a research tool for further conducting a large sample of traditional Chinese medicine constitution survey among Thais.(2)The preparation of the Thai version of the Chinese medicine constitution health care program can enable Thais to obtain the corresponding daily life,diet and rest guidance while understanding their Chinese medicine constitution.(3)The distribution of TCM constitution types of Thai women is closely related to their BMI,residential area,marital status,occupation,sports status and other factors,and these general factors also affect the occurrence of menstrual diseases in women.(4)The distribution of Chinese medical constitution types of Thai women has an important impact on the occurrence of menstrual diseases,and thus provides a basis and ideas for clinical prevention and treatment of menstrual diseases.
