Objectives: Firstly,to investigate the incidental vocabulary acquisition and development trends of CSL learners at different levels.Secondly,to study the influence of different input modes and task types on vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners.According to the research purpose,the research questions in this paper are as follows:(1)What are the vocabulary acquisition methods of CSL learners at of different levels?(2)In the natural reading context,what are the conditions and trends in the incidental vocabulary acquisition of CSL learners at different levels?(3)What is the impact of writing/interaction tasks in the listening/reading input mode on vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners?(4)What are the effects of different multimedia playback modes on the acquisition of word forms and meanings of CSL learners?Methods: The research methods of this paper are questionnaires,interviews and experiments.The first research question in this paper is to investigate the vocabulary of CSL learners at different levels.The questionnaire method and interview method are used;the other three research questions are experimental methods.The experimental data was analyzed using SPSS 21.0 to study the vocabulary incidental acquisition methods and vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners of different levels.The HSK level was used as the standard for dividing the Chinese language level.The learners were divided into six groups and used.One-way analysis of variance test whether there are differences in the six groups,and then use multiple comparisons and analysis of the specific differences between the groups;in the listening and reading mode of different output-type tasks on vocabulary incidental acquisition experiments,the use of independent samples T test two pairs of contrast Listening / Reading / Interaction/Writing Group Differences;In experiments where different multimedia playback methods affect vocabulary incidental acquisition,multiple comparisons are used toanalyze the images-Chinese subtitles-Audio Group,Image-Audio Group,Image-Chinese Subtitle Group The specific differences between groups.Results: This paper has carried out four empirical studies and various empirical studies have yielded several results.First,the results of the investigation of vocabulary acquisition by CSL learners of different levels:(1)The vocabulary acquisition style of CSL learners is dominated by direct learning,supplemented by incidental learning;(2)Among the vocabulary acquisition methods,the repetition rate of the direct learning method(repeating Chinese words by repeated transcriptions and reading aloud)is the highest,and the listening items under the acquisition method(learn Chinese words by participating in Chinese lectures).The lowest rate of use;(3)With the improvement of the language level,the average use of the vocabulary learning methods of CSL learners gradually decreased.There was no significant difference in the average use of vocabulary learning methods between CSL learners of different levels.(4)With the increase of language proficiency,the average use of vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners has gradually increased.Among them,the vocabulary incidental acquisition of HSK L2,L2,and HSK L2 learners exists.Significant difference.(5)Differences in gender and background of Chinese characters have no significant effect on the way of vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners.Second,the results of experimental research on vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners at different levels:(6)With the increase of language level,the vocabulary incidental acquisition rate of CSL learners gradually increased,and the upward trend of vocabulary incidental rates between HSK level 3 and HSK level 4 was the most obvious.(7)Except for the significant difference in vocabulary incidental learning between HSK level 1 and HSK level 2,HSK level 5 and HSK level 6 CSL learners,there were significant differences among other HSK group.(8)The vocabulary acquisition style of CSL learners has some influence on incidental vocabulary acquisition,but it is not a decisive factor.Third,under the reading/listening input mode,the results of the experimental study of writing/interaction tasks on vocabulary acquisition of CSL learners were:(9)In the instant test,under the same input mode,the vocative incidental memory retention effect of the interaction group was better than that of the writing group;under the same task type,the vocative incidental memory retention effect of the hearing group was better than that of the reading group.According to statistics,there are significant differences in vocabulary incidental acquisition between the hearing-interaction group and the reading-interaction group,and there is no significant difference between the other groups.(10)In the delay test,the vocabulary incidental acquisition of the interaction group was better than the writing group under the same input mode;the vocative incidental acquisition of the listening group was better than the reading group under the same task type.According to statistics,apart from the significant differences in vocabulary incidental acquisition between the hearing-interaction group and the reading-interaction group,there are significant differences among other groups.Fourth,the experimental research results of the effects of different multimedia playback methods on vocabulary incidental acquisition of CSL learners:(11)Lexical Acquisition In the instant test,the image-Chinese subtitle group has the best vocabulary acquisition,followed by the image-Chinese subtitle-audio group,and the lowest is the image-audio group.According to the statistics,there is no significant difference in the incidental acquisition of word forms between the image-Chinese subtitle-audio group and the image-Chinese subtitle group.There are significant differences among other groups.(12)In the delay test of the word-cum-coupon acquisition,the word-memory of the image-Chinese subtitle group has the best retention effect,followed by the image-Chinese subtitle-audio group,and the lowest is the image-audio group.According to statistics,there are significant differences in the memory retention effect of incidental acquisitions between the three groups.(13)In the real-time and delayed tests of the incidental acquisition of words,the Chinese-English subtitle-audio group has the best meaning of incidental acquisition,followed by the image-Chinese subtitle group,and the lowest is the image-audio group.According to the statistics,in the two tests,there was no significant difference between the other groups except for the significant meaning of the incidental acquisition between the image-Chinese subtitle-audio group and the image-audio group.Conclusions:Based on the above research results,this paper gets the following five conclusions.(1)The vocabulary acquisition methods of CSL learners are mainly based on direct methods and supplemented with incidental acquisition methods.The language level has an important influence on the second-language learners' vocabulary acquisition style.With the increase of language proficiency,the use of vocabulary direct learning methods gradually declines,and the use of vocabulary incidental acquisition methods gradually increases.(2)Under the natural reading context,the vocabulary incidental acquisition rate of CSL learners is positively correlated with the language level.With the increase of language level,the incidental vocabulary acquisition rate gradually increases.The first stage CSL learners can also generate part of vocabulary incidental acquisitions.It can be seen that language level is not a decisive factor in the incidental vocabulary acquisition.(3)In the natural reading context,the upward trend of the vocabulary incidental rate among the HSK level 3 to HSK level 4 CSL learners increased most significantly,indicating that the learners' HSK level and vocabulary level reached the HSK level 3standard.The ability to guess words has been significantly improved.(4)On the premise of the same task,the vocabulary incidental acquisition under the listening input mode is superior to the reading input mode;with the same input mode as the premise,the incidental vocabulary acquisition after completing the interactive task is superior to the writing task.(5)In the experiment of this paper,the multimedia play mode of image +Chinese subtitles has the most significant effect on the promotion of word form incidental acquisition for CSL learners.The image-Chinese subtitle-audio group multimedia play mode is for CSL learners.The meaning of the incidental acquisition of the word meaning is the most significant.
