The purpose of this paper is to find out the possibility of getting rid of the veil and the promotion of the reconstruction of local culture by researching into the process of continuous deconstruction of the power of East-west cultural discourse and analyzing the contradictions existing in Gramsci and Foucault's homogeneous culture into the “relationship” between heterogeneous cultures. In the post-colonialism theory, the history of Western modernization is the history of colonial expansion all around the world, which has exerted far-reaching influence on the modern world pattern. On one hand,it established the world market, broke the state of isolation, occlusion and isolation of the original countries;on the other hand, the long-term colonial rule also exerted a profound influence upon the eastbound expansion and spread of the western culture. The influence of cultural colonization remained long after the colonial history of the colonists' political, economic and military practices gradually disintegrating in the national liberation movements. The encounter of the “Orient” with the modern West has gone far beyond the mere geopolitics, and has been interpreted as a clash and exchange of cultural vision in the context of globalization. The theory of postcolonial culture is the theory that is to reveal, analyze the essence of the western capitalism with a critical look, constructing a cultural hegemony through colonization. The postcolonial culture theory has explored and uncovered all-round exploration and revelation of the western culture, ideology construction and illusionary imagination, and when the postcolonial culture theory examines the cultural reality of the “other”,“ego”,“conflict-identity” and other postcolonial concepts alike, trying to discover how the cultural discourse powers wax and wane, the study of pertinence actually involves three core issues:First,it is not only related to such a large variety of developing countries as China, the former colonies and semi-colonies,but also related to the existence of the “Orient” and all the disadvantaged cultures it symbolizes, whether they can clearly define the cultural “ego” under the impact of a strong external force of the heterogeneous culture.Second,it is related to whether the underprivileged culture can draw enough historical speculation and philosophical experience from the analysis of post-colonial culture to inspire sufficient cultural introspection and to develop a proper vigilance of the discourse power.Thirdly,it is related to the construction of a visional future of national cultural self-confidence with a keen sense of cultural self-consciousness against the realistic situation of a continuously strengthening western cultural hegemony in the name of “modernized” globalization. The cultural “relationship” under the perspective of postcolonial culture is not only a category that reflects the essence and development trend of cultural discourse power, but also a methodological category,a method of viewing social and historical culture from the unique perspective of colonial culture and the responses it has provoked. To this end, this article attempts to use postcolonial culture theory as a holistic theoretical research,in order to expand the model and scope of the individual research of traditional trends of thought and theorists,to show the reference significance of the postcolonial culture theory in eliminating western cultural hegemony and enlightening critical reconstruction. The postcolonial culture theory is a product of the new world pattern with the rise of the nation-states after the Second World War,which is not only under the continuous influence of the dualistic antagonism thinking mode during the Cold War,but also a theoretical output of the world intellectuals ' universal reflection upon the West cultural hegemony and their enduring efforts to break the dualistic antagonism thinking mode and to initiate a new mode of cultural dialogues.Since the introduction of this theory into China in the early 1990 s,the introduction, discussion and reference of its cultural theory in the field of cultural criticism and comparative literary criticism, scholars have focused on the interpretation and analysis from the perspective of literature, and there have been many achievements. Some researchers have studied the main viewpoints of post-colonialist representative theorists and their relations with Marxism and cultural hegemony from the perspective of Marxist philosophy, and the postcolonial culture theory has become an integral part of the study of postcolonial theory. However, the study of postcolonial culture theory and its practical significance is deficient, especially from the perspective of cultural philosophy, and the existing results are often based on the realistic needs that are too immediate or attaching too much importance to the cultural particularity and cultural resistance nature of the “Orient” in the postcolonial culture theory, neglecting such research issues as the explanation of "relationship" of divergent cultures, interaction in particular, under the framework of the postcolonial culture theory, which is far from enough, hence the need for further thought and elaboration. The essence of the cultural hegemony and its far-reaching influence in the cultural colonization stage of colonialism, along with the relationship between the heterogeneous cultures, constitute the two major theoretical concerns of the postcolonial culture theory. This research is based on the deep exploration and analysis of the process of the emergence and development of postcolonial culture theory, and seeks to explore the theoretical evolution and core elements of its cultural theory by tracing the theoretical source of post-colonialist theorists, and to detect the profound theoretical connection of postcolonial culture theory and Marxism, the theory of postmodernism and deconstruction in the process of deconstruction and construction.Specifically, the author points out that the theory of postcolonial culture is easy to be confused with postmodernism and cultural capitalism, and discusses some important theoretical issues and practical concerns in promoting cultural identity and enhancing cultural self-confidence under the background of accelerating globalization in the new century.Meanwhile, the postcolonial culture theory has put forward a pressing demand for reconstructing the existing western-dominated knowledge power system, which remains no easy job all along the way.The theory itself is a theoretical system that is bound by the inheritance of the first world theory discourse. How to understand this phenomenon, how to explore the theoretical paradox and inadequacies, has remained the most concentrated part of this article. After all,it is deeply related to the current situation of “new era”,how to cope with the cultural conflicts, how to reconstruct the national culture, how to achieve the cultural self-confidence on the basis of equal dialogue, etc.a series of important propositions about how to embrace the world culture in the future of Chinese ideology and culture. This paper is divided into six parts in the study of postcolonial culture theory, and the main research contents of each part are as follows:The introduction part outlines the theoretical links between the postcolonial culture theory and its theoretical components. It briefly discusses Gramsci's “cultural hegemony” theory, the theory of “national culture” of Fannon, the “knowledge-power” system of Foucault, and the role of Huntington's “clash of civilizations” within the postcolonial culture theory.Through the analysis of the above-mentioned theories, this paper delineates the complex diversity of postcolonial culture theory, which is interconnected with colonialism, deconstruction, postmodernism culture, antagonistic, meritocratic and carries forward the inheritance. At the same time,it summarizes the research findings of postcolonial culture theory at home and abroad, putting forward some of its own innovative points. The first chapter introduces the classical theory analysis of the three major theorists of the post-colonialism: Said,Spivak and Homi Bhabha.First, through Edward Said's Orientalistic rethinking of the “Orient” and the analysis of the Oriental Power Discourse mechanism, the deconstruction of the “Oriental”,the reconstruction of the Oriental image and the “exile” theory,it aims to take a further look at the close relationship between the Orientalism of Western conception and its political and ideological control.Second, through Spivak's concepts of “subaltern”,“cognitive violence” and “the other”,it demonstrates how to apply the deconstruction approach, focusing on the third-tier women living in the bottom of the society,“the rock bottom”,“the fringiest of the fringe” theory radiation, along with the discussion of Spivak's concepts of “subalternity” and its combination with “predicament” and “Historical memory” of colonial culture repression.Thirdly,it analyzes Homi Bhabha's understanding of cultural relations as a “cultural mixture” of interaction between various cultures in the process of globalization,i.e.,how heterogeneity is confronting the new cultural mixing space(the third space)in his theory. In the end of this chapter,it emphasizes the theoretical expertise and the existing disputes in analysis among the postcolonial culture theorists. The second chapter explores the problems of cultural reconstruction in the postcolonial cultural context after the national liberation movements.Starting from a systematic carding and reviewing of the questioning of “the other”,the key concept of the postcolonial culture theory,it probes deeper into the connotation of cultural “relationship” in the postcolonial perspective. The combination of the inequality, the subjective identity, the marginal thinking and the deep deconstruction of the colonial culture revealed by the “other” is really digging into the understanding of the contemporary western philosophical thought trend from the subject study to the “subject-object relationship” research. It discusses the relevant exposition of the postcolonial culture theory on cultural centrality and its ideological output,in quest of various possible routes for cultural reconstruction during the cultural localization of postcolonial theory. The third chapter focuses on the distinction between the strong and weak of the new and old culture, the subject and object of the exposition,at the turn of the discourse power strength. It exposes the nature of cultural conflicts caused by the expansion of capitalist culture within the process of globalization, reveals the essence and different ways of resolving the cultural conflicts, especially by analyzing the national character, openness and diversity of the culture in the era of globalization,so as to distinguish the cultural conflicts of the natural state from the intentional ones, exploiting the root of the conflicts of inequality. It also penetrates into the nature and process, results and impacts of cultural conflicts,to explore the post-colonial context of “harmonious but different” tradition based on the “modern” connotation of difference. The fourth chapter analyzes the cultural identity and the lasting influence of the colonial culture in the process of modernization. It reveals the connection between “cultural globalization” and the contemporary cultural identity. The postcolonial culture theory, while shattering the illusion of “the other”,attaches great importance to the decoding and in-depth experience of cultural identity in the reflection of modernity, exploring the possibility of constructing a "modernity" different from that of the west while reestablishing the identity of cultural subjects,to reconstruct the native culture with a new cultural identity consciousness. The fifth chapter approaches the issue of cultural self-confidence in the dialogue between East and West. With globalization promoting the east-west dialogue as the macro-background,culture has become an integral part of the comprehensive national power in international competition. It elucidates the current significance of the theory of postcolonial culture: i.e.,by tracing the cultural identity transfer and questioning in the process of Sino-Western Mutual vision,it is,first and foremost,to explore how to play a principal role of Chinese cultural spirit, and second,to redefine the “duty” and value belief of intellectuals under the postcolonial perspective,to discuss the significance of defining the cultural positioning of “the fringe" and “the fringiest of the fringe” at current stage. Finally,it attempts to construct a new theoretic approach in the east-west dialogue for a more stable, equal and interactive cultural self-confidence.The last part is the conlusion. It made a brief summary of the post-colonialism,and analyzed the limitation of it with the help of Marxist cultural theory.
