| Culture,as an important feature of a nationality,is the soul and base,and also the important source of cohesion,vitality and creativity of a nationality.However,the development of culture is never a plain road.Every ethnic group has made great changes during the long time of communication and fusion,and finally goes to different path of development.Some ethnic groups’ culture have weakened by time,or even disappeared,but some have shown strong adaptability.It not only maintains its specialties,but also has a great influence on other nationalities during the long time of communication and fusion with other ethnic groups.During its long period of historical development,Wa ethnic group has gained its inherited national culture with its own specialties.Along with the social development,in-depth reform and opening up,launch of the strategy of western China development,especially the development strategy of "Bridgehead" in Yunnan province,the once closed and backward Wa ethnic group has made much more communications with the outside world,its culture is changing apparently and implicitly in all levels.It is an important subject in today’s Wa ethnic group’s culture research to dig into the facts and reasons of culture changes,and to analyze and discuss the influence of culture changes on Wa ethnic group’s social development.There are many researches on culture change of minorities in China,but few of them are about Wa ethnic group.Nowadays,the research on Wa ethnic group are mainly about its traditional culture from the view of ethnology,literature and history,illustrating and explaining the traditional culture,rather than discussions on theories and concerns on realities.It is even rare to analyze the process and influence of culture changes of Wa ethnic group from the view of sociology and anthropology and from its culture adaptation.The paper elaborates the process of culture changes in Wa ethnic group through theoretical discussion and field research based on Cangyuan autonomous county in Yunnan province.To be specific,the paper analyzes the facts and reasons of culture changes in Wa ethnic group,and tries to discuss the problem of cultural heritage from the point of education by sociology and anthropology theories and research method,and finally,using the theories of cultural adaptation as an entry point to think deeply about the future social development of Wa ethnic group.This paper covers 8 chapters in total and the details of each chapter are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction part.It is mainly about the origin,meaning of the research,core concepts,and literature review on social changes and Wa ethnic group.It points out the insufficiency of existing research,and refers on the theories and research method that used in the paper,and the area where the survey conducted.The second chapter is about origin and historical development,and population distribution of Wa ethnic group.In this part,the national name,the origin and shape of the nationality,and the population distribution,features and its changing factors are discussed and analyzed.The third chapter is about the mode of production and its changes of Wa ethnic group.The mode of production and its changes of Wa ethnic group in different periods is described in this part,and then its influence on the thought and values of Wa people.The fourth chapter is about the mode of lives and its changes of Wa ethnic group.The mode of lives and its changes is illustrated mainly by dress,diet,housing and traffic situation of Wa people.And further more,the reasons of changes are discussed from natural environment and social environment of Wa ethnic group.The fifth chapter is about the manners and customs and its changes of Wa ethnic group.The problem is expounded through festivals,marriage,and funeral customs.The social functions and reasons of the customs changes are also discussed in the paper.The sixth chapter is about the religion and belief and its changes of Wa ethnic group.The Primitive religion,Buddhism,Christianity in Wa ethnic group and their influences,functions and reasons of changes are discussed in this part.The seventh chapter is about the education mode and cultural heritage of Wa ethnic group.First of all,traditional education mode,including home education,community education and temple education,and its functional changes are discussed.Secondly,modern school education and its development are expounded,and then current situation and problems of the modern school education is illustrated by field study from micro perspective.The relation between education and cultural heritage is also discussed in this part.On account of the plight of cultural heritage today,the paper put forward that cultural self-consciousness is the basic guarantee of cultural heritage of Wa ethnic group.The eighth chapter is the part of discussion and reflection,also the part of conclusion.It is mainly discussion on the way of development of Wa ethnic group under the impact of multi culture.On the basis of review on cultural adaptation theories,the paper analyzes the process of cultural
