The Strategy Using includes strategy execution,strategy choice and strategy switch.It has been proved that the strategy using can improve the learning efficiency,deepen the learning effect and influence the learning behavior.The fundamental cause of it is to adjust the human's cognitive load(including extraneous cognitive load,the intrinsic cognitive load and germane cognitive load),so as to make full use of cognitive resources,and promote the cognitive processing.In the actual learning process,people have discovered the value of body operation: with a specific body motions to achieve similar effects as the general learning strategies to enhance the learning effect.The essence is to regulate germane cognitive load,and actively put the remaining cognitive resources into the learning process.Whether it is a general learning strategy or an embodied cognition operation,it is a strategy adjustment before the cognitive load changes.However,in the process of working and learning,before the process of strategy using,the people are not without cognitive load,and the cognitive load is always accompanied.If the learning strategy is regarded as a cognitive activity,does the changes of the cognitive load state can affect the strategy using,promote or hinder the strategy using? If there is a hindrance,is it possible to eliminate this effect with embodied cognition operation that can promote learning behavior? Does the cognitive load affect the strategy using,and is there a personality difference in the regulating effect of the embodied cognition operation? The researchers used a series of experiments,and the scale.There are three researches on this issue,in order to promote the application of learning strategies in the actual environment and improve ecological validity,to find out more effective control measures.The method of behavioral experiment was studied,including three experiments corresponding to strategy execution,choice and switch.Through the dual task paradigm,the external cognitive is existing,and the applicative effects of "mixed strategy"(MD strategy,including UD strategy and DU strategy:UD strategy is up and down,DU strategy is down and up)was investigated under the extraneous cognitive load.This research confirmed that extraneous cognitive load did hinder the strategy execution,choice and switch.(1)experiment 1 found there is some difference between DU strategy and UD strategy,DU strategy is more difficult and the UD is easier.It is a completely new discovery,because the existing literature believed that there was no difference in difficulties between the two strategies.(2)experiment 2 found that there are certain strategies preferences in the people,for the first time.And the higher extraneous cognitive load will force people to adopt automatic methods to deal with the processing tasks.This finding differs from the existing research on strategy choice under cognitive load.(3)experiment 3 found that the cost of strategy switch is influenced by extraneous cognitive load,and is not necessarily fixed.At the same time,it was found that the strategies sequential difficult effect(SSD)is an interesting new phenomenon.Besides increasing the RSI to 600 ms,the SSD effect can also be eliminated with the higher extraneous cognitive load.If increasing RSI can reduce the cognitive load,then the extraneous cognitive load is used to increase the cognitive load of the people,It indicated that there is an effective cognitive load interval where the SSD effect existing.Beyond this interval,the SSD effect disappeared.Either high or low will cause the SSD effect to disappear.With the same way,the experimental 2 add the embodied cognition operation in the progress of the experimental procedure.It is divided into “writing on the desk” “writing in the air” “no writing”,with different difficult,contains one experiment,comparing three groups respectively.To investigate the effect of embodied cognition operation to the strategy switch under the extraneous cognitive load.Studies have demonstrated that embodied cognition operation as a germane cognitive load can indeed affect and change the effect of strategy switch with extraneous cognitive load.However,the embodied cognition operation related germane cognitive load worked with certain conditions:(1)there are some cognitive resources remained(so the subjects with flexible selection are obvious)(2)focusing on the difficult cognitive tasks(3)is appropriate for the subjects with flexibleThis research adopted the big five personality inventory scale,and correlation analysis was performed according to strategy execution,strategy switch and strategy choice.The influence about the embodied cognition operation in the strategy switch with extraneous cognitive load was also measured.This research was divided into two sub-studies.Sub-study 1 found that three stages in the process of strategy using respectively associated with different personality traits have a positive correlation and negative correlation,explained the process of strategy using is associated with multiple personality traits.There isn't a dominant personality in strategy using.Sub-study 2 found that: compared with the group “no writing”,there is no difference between the “writing in air” and “writing on desk” as we expected.The differential impact on the strategy switch,is related to cognitive processing style.Compared with the existing research,this study from the strategy execution,strategy choice and strategy switch,systematically explore the extraneous cognitive load for the influence of strategy using.Find out the corresponding rules,provide a reference for strategy using in the actual environment,improve the ecological validity of the strategy research.And this is the first time,from the perspective of germane cognitive load to analysis the regulation function of the embodied cognition operation with the high extraneous cognitive load to apply the learning strategies,for the right person under the right conditions to find the suitable strategy provided a revelation.A new learning strategies field has been developed for the research and application.
