Research On The Newly-established Undergraduate Colleges Niche:Logic,Reality And Strategy

The theory of niche is one of the most important fundamental theory in modern ecology,which reveals universal rules about the survival and development of ecological individual,population and community,and has great significance in biology's evolution,survival environment,functions and values,competitive relations,etc.In recent years,the theory of niche has become an effective interdisciplinary analysis tool for its powerful vitality and extensive universality,and shows far-reaching influence and important application value in social science.The combination of niche theory and higher education research is not only an effective expansion,innovation and application of the interdisciplinary theories and approaches(ecology of education),but also a good way to help people understand the inner growth's logic and outer development law comprehensively,deeply and dynamically,so that we can practically promote colleges to find an appropriate position,to highlight their features and to achieve sustainable development in the complex competitive environment.As an important part in our higher education system,the newly-established undergraduate colleges have made great contribution in optimizing the structure layout of higher education,promoting the popularizing of higher education and accelerating the regional social and economic development.However,many newly-established undergraduate colleges can't adapt the environment well,which puts them in a neglected position in the increasingly fierce competition between colleges because of their short history,week foundation and the lack of experience in running school,they also have the tendency of disorders and unclear classification,which leads them to simply imitate the school-running model of traditional universities.In order to help these colleges out of their dilemma,to find their niche in higher education and achieve sustainable development,this dissertation takes the newly-established undergraduate colleges as research objects,takes the theory of niche as the research perspective,combines with the related discipline theory of pedagogy,ecology,ecology of education and management science,to make a theoretical and empirical discussion about the niche of newly-established undergraduate colleges and related problems deeply and systematically.The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:1.Building the theoretical system for college nicheBy thinking about the logic start point about college niche theory,the dissertation puts forward the basic concept system on college niche and makes discussion on the connotation including characteristic expression,the principles of formation and development,functions and values,etc;on this basis,the dissertation comes up with some corn theories about the college niche breadth,the college niche overlap,the college niche separation,the college niche situation and expansion,the college niche compression and release,etc,enriches the theory connotation research on college niche further more;discussing the growth track on college niche from the lay of classification,position,feature and quality.This part of content belongs to the theoretical research of the essay's logic part.2.Making an analysis on principle about the formation and evolution of newly-established undergraduate college's nicheBy analyzing the genetic factor and implementation strategy of newly-established undergraduate college's nicheAccording to the overall analysis on the theories and reality of newly-established undergraduate colleges niche above,this dissertation putting forward that the development target of newly-established undergraduate colleges should be “application-oriented colleges with striking features”,then analyzing its connotation and niche characteristics on this type of colleges;based on feature on this type of college's life cycle,making an overall design about its target tactics and coming up with the strategies of niche-dislocation,niche-separation,niche-optimization and niche-co evolution;finally,putting forward the countermeasures and suggestions to guarantee the effective implementation of niche strategies from perspective of optimizing political,economic,cultural and technological environmental factors.
