Internet And Wealth Creation Behavior Of Micro Subjects

With expansion and innovative development of internet technology,people have become increasingly aware of its profound influence on the social economy all aspects.Especially the widely using of mobile internet and the rise of WeChat,Weibo and other software in recent years make information transfer function of the Internet advantage continuously enlarge,further expand scale and influence of Internet network,and sustained economic effect.In particular,the subversive role of the Internet in the wealth creation of micro-economic entities deserves attention."Digital Dividend" is the key word of 2016 for the World Bank’s annual thematic Report"World Development Report",pointing out that wider access to the internet will bring benefits to individuals and enterprises that have not yet been effectively connected to the Internet(World Bank,2016).The internet enables relevant behavioral agents to mobilize resources that could not be used previously,opens up new channels for wealth creation,and makes wealth creation take on totally different characteristics from the past.Despite numerous studies from different perspective has carried on the analysis to the economic consequences of the Internet,but from the perspective of micro-economic subject for wealth creation discussion does not see more.In addition,on the one hand the existing literature slightly lack the fundamental discussion of the internet’s economic effect,namely how the internet has fundamentally make the economic effect,on the other hand the existing literature lack discussion of new wealth creation channels under the condition of internet.Taking the subversion of information transmission made by the internet as the logical starting point,this paper analyzes the wealth creation of economic subjects under the condition of the internet.The thesis follows the research idea of norm first and demonstration later.In the first chapter,introduction introduces the research background,research questions,research significance,research methods,etc.In the second chapter,the literature review classifies and introduces the theories related to the topic of this paper,the research on the information transmission convenience brought by the internet and its influence,and the research on verifying the economic effects of the internet at all levels.In the third chapter,the part of theoretical analysis discusses the subversion of the internet on information transmission in detail,and based on this,analyzes the typical ways and characteristics of wealth creation of micro subjects under the condition of the internet and the mechanism of this influence brought by the internet on the theoretical level.It points out that the subversion of the internet on information transmission enhances the ability of micro subjects to mobilize resources,and makes the scarcity and value of attention resources more prominent.Through the collection of relevant data,the fourth to sixth chapters respectively focus on the wealth creation of three types of micro subjects,namely families in remote areas,"web celebrity" and traditional enterprises,so as to concretely show the role played by the internet.The fourth chapter takes family entrepreneurship as an example to demonstrate that the emergence of the Internet enables the wealth creation of micro subjects to break through the obstacles of physical distance and provide wealth creation opportunities for rural families or families in remote locations.It finds that although the remoteness of geographical location hinders family entrepreneurship and makes entrepreneurial families tend to use informal financial channels to finance their entrepreneurial projects,the use of the internet effectively alleviates the impact of physical distance,thus providing greater entrepreneurial opportunities for rural families or families in remote areas.The fifth chapter takes "web celebrity" as an example to discuss the wealth effect of the internet,and demonstrates that micro subjects obtain wealth by using the internet to obtain attention resources and realize its value.This part firstly explains that the subversion of the internet on information transmission leads to the sharp increase of information,which makes attention become the "hard currency" in the internet,and points out that the powerful function of internet in information transmission can help present individual characteristics in the internet,thus enabling individuals to compete for attention resources with different personal characteristics and opening up a new channel to bring wealth to individuals through acquiring attention resources.Subsequently,this wealth effect of internet is verified by empirical analysis with Taobao shop owners who are active in Sina Weibo as samples.Chapter six takes the manufacturing industry as an example to analyze the impact of the internet on the value creation of traditional enterprises.In this part,it is pointed out that the use of the internet by enterprises facilitates the information transfer,promotes enterprise innovation by improving the scope of knowledge acquisition and conversion rate,and improves the ability and willingness of enterprises to communicate with the upstream and downstream of the supply chain.In addition,the internet also plays a role in the sales link and increases the weight of online sales.These changes finally enable enterprises to create more value.In general,this paper focuses on the topic of wealth creation under the condition of the internet,and takes the subversion of information transmission by the internet as the logical starting point to discuss a series of issues such as the wealth effect of the internet,how the internet helps micro-economic subjects to create wealth,and how the internet changes the characteristics of wealth creation and so on.In addition,there is no lack of analysis of new wealth creation channels under the internet condition in this paper,which provides direct empirical evidence and inspiration for the thoughts of internet capital,attention economy and other relevant theoretical thoughts,and enriches the empirical research on internet economic effects from different aspects.The study of this paper means that with the wider application of the internet and the continuous innovation and development of internet technology,the wealth creation characteristics of micro subjects and the wealth distribution pattern of the whole society will probably produce more profound changes,and the discussion on the economic effect of the internet should pay more attention to the new wealth creation methods which have emerged and is emerging.
