Research On The Policy And Mechanism Of Balanced Development Of China's Trade Through The Promotion Of OFDI

The imbalance of foreign trade development is one of the main reasons of the frequent occurrence of foreign trade friction and continued expansion of foreign exchange scale in recent years.Foreign trade imbalance is not conducive to create a good foreign trade environment,to upgrade the domestic industrial structure,to the management of foreign exchange reserves and domestic monetary policy effect,to the sustainable development of China's economy.After the economic development entering the “New Normal”,the realization of foreign trade balance development is of great significance.China now implements more proactive opening up policy,which adheres to the importance of import and export,inward foreign investment and outward foreign investment.Under the more proactive opening up economy development pattern,the overall scale and global coverage of China's outward foreign direct investment increasing rapidly and the impact of outward foreign direct investment on economic development and trade is growing.International experience and many theoretical and empirical studies show that,outward foreign direct investment can alleviate the problem of home country's imbalanced trade.On the basis of qualitative analysis of China's outward foreign direct investment and foreign trade imbalance,this paper reveals the transmission mechanism of outward foreign direct investment on home country's trade,from multipal views,and do quantitative analysis of trade effect of China's outward foreign direct investment by constructing econometric model.Combined with the experience of some developed and developing countries and the present situation of International economic development environment,at the end of the paper,we give policy recommendations of promoting the balanced development of China's foreign through outward foreign direct investment.The main work of the thesis includes the following parts:First,summarize and sort the theoretical and empirical studies on the relationship between outward foreign direct investment and trade.In theory and practice field,the relation between outward foreign direct investment and trade is effected by many factors.However,the relation between outward foreign direct investment and trade can be sorted to three different kinds,substitutive,complementary and dynamic change.Second,analyze the status of China's outward foreign direct investment and imbalanced foreign trade by using the data from National Bureau of statistics,Ministry of Commerce and the United Trade Center.The thesis analyzes the status of China's outward foreign direct investment from five parts: the scale,regional distribution,industry distribution,body distribution and mode of investment,then put forward the existing problems.We analyze the status of China's imbalanced foreign trade through three aspects: the scale,main trade form,main body,and put forward the reasons and harm of our country foreign trade imbalance.Third,reveal transmission mechanism of trade effect of outward foreign direct investment.Reserch the trade effect of outward foreign direct investment,from micro,meso and macro levels and reveal the transmission mechanism of trade effect on different levels.Fourth,construct a model to study the trade effect of our country's outward foreign direct investment.Fifth,analyze the experience of different countries' outward foreign direct investment and the impact on home countries' trade.Divide the outward foreign direct investment history of Japan,the US,India into different stages,and study the characteristics of different stages,the impact of foreign direct investment on the home country's trade,government's function in protecting and promoting the outward foreign direct investment.Sixth,analyze the status and development trend of international environment of China's foreign trade and outward foreign direct investment.Using the relevant reports released by United Nations and the Ministry of Commerce,the thesis analyzes the status and development trend of international environment of China's foreign trade and outward foreign direct investment.As the international economic recovery is slow,future international environment that China's foreign trade and outward foreign investment will face is not optimistic as a result of international trade protectionism and investment protectionism.Seventh,give policy recommendations.Base on the theoretical and empirical studies,we give policy recommendations about using outward foreign direct investment to promote the balanced development of trade.
