In the era of knowledge economy,a country's development is dependent on the technological progress.The upgrading of the science and technology level needs the independent innovation of different organizations,the collaborative innovation between organizations and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in national innovation network system.As the important medium for scientific and technological achievements transformation and knowledge transfer,science and technology intermediary is one of the important parts in national innovation system.Developing S&T intermediary is the key content of China's implementation of scientific and technological innovation strategy and construction of national innovation system.Therefore,it is very important to study the effect mechanisms of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks.Based on the theory of innovation network and S&T intermediary,the dissertation analyzes the effect paths and influencing factors of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks.Following the logic of micro-embedding mechanism,macro structure change and system efficiency promotion,it explores the effect mechanisms of S&T intermediaries including: the information asymmetry evasion mechanism,the network structure improvement mechanism and the knowledge transfer promotion mechanism.The main contents of the dissertation are as follows:(1)The study analyzes the elements of innovation networks including enterprises,government,universities,financial institutions,S&T intermediaries,and explores the relationship between them.It summarizes the classification of S&T intermediaries from different perspectives,and analyzes the functional position of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks.Subsequently it analyzes the effect of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks and its logical framework theoretically.(2)The study summarizes the effect paths of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks.It mainly includes three paths: docking the technological trading,cooperating with the joint research and development and incubating the start-ups.From the aspects of S&T intermediaries,universities,enterprises,government and financial institutions,it constructs an influencing factor index system of S&T intermediaries operation in innovation networks and analyzes the important factors using the method of the triangular fuzzy number analytic hierarchy process based on the OWA operator.(3)Based on the information asymmetry theory and the game theory,the study analyzes the information asymmetry problems in technology transaction and cooperative R&D,and explores the relationship between stakeholders and the role of S&T intermediaries.Taking the technology transaction and cooperative R&D as examples,it establishes the game models to analyze the relationship between stakeholders without intermediary intervention and that with intermediary intervention respectively.It explores how S&T intermediary reduces the negative impact caused by information asymmetry and improves the efficiency of innovation and technology transfer.The results show that: in technology transaction,the participation of S&T intermediary could increase the probability of technology demander to purchase technology product;in cooperative R&D,S&T intermediary could significantly improve the overall innovation output of the system.(4)The study analyzes the structural characteristics of innovation networks such as small-world,scale-free,assortativity,structural hole and so on.It explores the influence of S&T intermediaries on these structural characteristics.Taking Ireland's service and business process innovation industry as an empirical study,it illustrates the importance of S&T intermediaries to innovation network structure.It shows that S&T intermediaries have the ability to link individuals of different small groups.Occupying the position of structure holes,S&T intermediaries can strengthen the structure stability and the connectivity of the networks.(5)Based on the knowledge transfer theory and the multi-agent theory,it establishes a multi-agent model to explore the knowledge transfer promotion mechanism of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks.The simulation results show that the participation of S&T intermediary can enhance the small-world property of the networks and the knowledge transfer efficiency of the whole system with S&T intermediary is higher than that without S&T intermediary as it can collect the information of innovators and help innovative individuals to find complementary knowledge partners.When S&T intermediary conducts the deep assist,it also promotes the system knowledge transfer efficiency.(6)From the aspects of information integration,structural improvement,knowledge transfer,the study gives the suggestions for the development of S&T intermediaries in China.The highlights of this dissertation include:(1)Constructing an index system of influencing factors of S&T intermediaries in innovation networks;(2)Establishing the game models of technical trading and cooperative R&D activities which S&T intermediary is involved;(3)Establishing an agent-based model of knowledge transfer in innovation networks which S&T intermediary is involved.
