Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of the proposed project is to determine whether there is a difference in executive functioning between first time sexual offenders and a normative sample. With the increasing number of sexual offenders being arrested each year in the United States, why they offend and treatment of offenders has been a topic of controversy. The findings of the study show the differences in executive functioning between the sex offender sample and the normative sample. Implications for research are discussed.
