The research consists of three topics.In the first topic we design a new structure of space time for non-stationary constant-amplitude polynomial phase signals, called Space Time Code Module Structure (STC-MS). Our STC-MS consists of several modules of space time codes which are designed based on the coefficients of the polynomial phase signals (PPS), which has phase modulated by the polynomials of time. Each coefficient of polynomials contains the information and has its own alphabet. The Space Time Code Module Structure allows applying independent criterion of design for the different coefficients of the polynomials. Changing the alphabet of each coefficient or varying the polynomial's order do not affect to the design of other coefficients, making system's transmission rate variable and flexible and also allowing the system's design easily adjustable to the effects of channel condition on each coefficient.In the second topic we study the error propagation effect in communications systems using Polynomial Transform algorithm to decode the coefficients of the polynomial phase modulation signals. We have built a model to describe the error propagation effect based on Markov chain model. The model helps to analyze the error propagation effect more precisely and to evaluate the system's performance easier. Our model is used for the Space Time Code Module Structure.The last topic of our research deals with the computational complexity in decoding the polynomial phase modulation signals in STC-MS systems. We have proposed an algorithm called "Phase Decomposition" that can significantly reduce the amount of computations in decoding.
