Technology is a field that experiences change constantly to the point that professionals within this arena have a hard time keeping up with it. Also, with the ever popular trend of globalization, companies are finding themselves fighting to keep competitive with corporations worldwide. With these factors, information technology (IT) managers are finding themselves in a constant race to stay ahead of the competition. Because of these determinants, IT managers need to have the appropriate skill set to stay strategically ambitious. This research studied whether IT managers are more effective in companies if they have a higher education degree and are pertinent to being successful in their corporations. Also, other attributes that make these IT managers prosperous were explored.
